Login Server Down

There is more than one login server based on where you are located. I've tried 4 accounts and it doesnt connect.

im just hoping uo assist is up and working properly again im just stuck in 2d and uo assist for soo long not sure how to play uo with anything else...

UO assist started working earlier after another patch. Problem is it doesnt do any good if you cant log in.

yes i am just getting home and was also trying to log in and had just found out about uo assist ,,,still cant log in either and i to tried my other accounts with no success

Odd - I logged in and out doing BOD runs on 6 characters in the last hour with no issues.

I thought it was yesterday that there was going to be login server downtime...

I see this thread is more than 3 hours old so there is no hope the situation will be fixed soon.

I am enraged. The general situation is deteriorating rapidly. Problem after problem, mistake after mistake. There seems no end to this, only a deeper abyss.

I think we should all be very careful. The next step may be they will steal all the money from our credit cards "by mistake" and shut down the game. Black-holes!

Classic client just stalls for ages before saying 'can't connect', EC is different - put in account name and password, hit return, and almost instantly straight back to my desktop!

Certainly affects the UK - several folks confirm over ICQ they are experiencing the same problems as me.

It affects 100% of the Romanian players, as I am the only one playing this old game.

5:45 Eastern US time - I'm able to log in. Strangely, when people were unable to log on hours ago, I was switching characters and accounts repeatedly with no problems.

I wonder if the problem connecting might be related to specific internet backbone providers going into EA - after all, we all know that ALTER.NET and Level3 have had major issues in the last year with people connecting to the East Coast servers (and therefore, also the login servers).

I woke and and tried to login. It comes up asking for login details, then upon clicking to continue (after password) it just times and and crashes the EC.

Well its 6 am eastern and its still down..
Someone must of triped and pulled the plug from the hamster feading machine and they starved..
Or are on strike waiting for it to get fixed..
It should be up soon as they get into work sometime today..

I tried for 3 hours after i posted this to log in. Nothing, so I gave up. I finally tried here about 5 minutes ago and it finally went but at what detriment? Thanks EA for reminding me for what I'm paying for even without so much as an apology. Oh well.

Even if they did, all of the routing equipment in the area would have to have backup as well. UO isn't "beamed" to your computer.

Routing and telephone equipment *is* usually backed up. If it isn't, someone should find a new provider.
