Okay, this is beginning to get ridiculous!

We have been complaining about this through direct emails to EA Customer Support (now there’s an oxymoron if ever there was one) and various posts on Stratics, ever since they changed the store site so that you get directed to a local version, which in Australia’s case, has less than half of the items listed in its USA counterpart.

So, if you live in Australia, there is no practical way to purchase the following:

Ultima Online™: Stygian Abyss™ (Account Upgrade)
Ultima Online™: High Seas Booster
Gothic Theme Pack
Ultima Online™ Character Name Change Token Code
Ultima Online™ Character Gender Change Token Code
Ultima Online™ Housing and Bank Storage Upgrade Code
Undertaker's Staff
Britannian Ship
Woodworker's Bench
Pen of Wisdom
Ultima Online™ Eleventh Year Collection
Natural Hair Dye
Forged Metal Tool 5 Charges (100% Enhancment)
Haochi’s Pigments

So, if you happen to be a returning player living in Australia, you will not be able to upgrade your account to Stygian Abyss or High Seas! let alone purchase a bunch of other items.

You think that once this oversight has been pointed out that EA would immediately fix things. Not the case. After countless emails, Stratics posts, even Mesanna saying she will look into it, still no change … nothing.

Well done guys!

And you wonder why people are leaving UO?

From what I've been reading on the forums it's been FAR too long. But the DEV's sadly as far as I know have absolutely no control over EA and it's sales division.

Bet you any money if SA upgrade code and High Seas was missing from the USA store it would of been fixed immediately. Mainly as the USA has a lot more ranters to make a noise in comparison to us down under. Seems the USA store as been lucky enough to have the one month game time codes added that they were missing, we still don't have those either.

The wait has has been a lot longer than a few weeks. I returned on Xmas EVE 2011 to play High Seas, and immediately emailed support re the missing booster, I phoned EA in Australia who told me to email them so they could forward it to the USA as they advised that all the 'stores' web content was managed in the USA (or should I say totally mismanaged). I have been posting on forum since Dec, and at that time it had certainly been a reported problem that was well known before I even returned.

I agree that some codes have been missing from all stores, but these are the two MAIN codes required to actually have access to full game CONTENT. SA has a whole new landmass for goodness sake.

I am about to give up. Having 'checked' the store nearly every second day for 3 months, more since Mesanna advised the Australian store would get these items in. That was 3 weeks ago, still nothing.

The whole thing is totally PATHETIC.

I to live in Australia, i went to the origin site in the US i get redirected to the aussie site, what i have noticed we are paying so much more than the US........ anyone else from aussie seen this :(

It has to do with the country's currency I think and that is why there is different departments via Japan's crew. US's store had at one time but no longer the Ladybug wall things which I thought they sold more or would more than the undertaker's staff. I think the thief tool isn't up there anymore either but might be on other country's. The expansions should be everywhere though but as they said they been asking to get those up. Problay which is sad hound Ea from your end daily and problay not the US Uo team. Or you can spend more money (probaly) and have an American you trust to buy the code for you and you pay them back via paypal or other means. I don't know the currency difference is though. Japan seems to pay more for items or monthly game time than we do just by how the money works. If your going that route maybe someone from the Uo team might help you but to get you playing current and just wait for the other items. If all that might work..... Hell if my bills was more squared away I would just give you a code so you can play but they are not.

As I said Japan seems high at time but they had those sales which put them in par with almost the same as the american dollar.

Let me clear up a tiny bit about Mesanna looking into things...
Her work location is in Virginia while the CS is in Austin,TX. and the Origin store is I beleave running out of Redwood Shores or the Bio HQ in Canada... (mind you I have been on the phone with all locations when my cc and codes have had issues ) Contacting and finding who to talk to is going to take her quite bit of time.... then after the usual inter office bull..... she might get something looked at. From what I can tell the boss (jeff) is in house at virginia office sooooooo cross yoru fingers and hope she runs to him for a hand. You might see a fix soon. But it does take time.... :grouphug:

First issue, as usual with EA, though - your link will only work for people in your country - if I hit it, it takes me to the front page of the UK Origin store. Almost makes me think they are (very feebly, as usual) trying to hide their inability to coordinate items on sale consistently for ALL their customers, and they are trying to make it impossible to compare prices as part of their 'system'. If I want to find out the prices of their products in any other region, I need to use an IP proxy to fool them about my location.

UO is a world-wide game, with a world-wide player base - and EA/Mythic refuse to treat them all equally because it suits their internal bureaucracy to have everything split up. EA live on the value and quality of their core games (usually designed by an external company they proceed to buy up and ruin...). Without their knack of spotting games that will prove addictive to people they would have died years ago because of their outdated, inefficient and insulting attitudes towards their paying customers.

First off ... EA is run by Suits. Who answer to stock holders and the board. All Suits. (catch a theme here?)

Those suits are out to make $$$ plain and simple, its how EA go so big .. they used the Suits to push for every nickle and those suits hired the best legal team and account mentats they could squeeze in the office. Away went the player concern... it dont pay them enough.... Away went the advertizing.... you dont pay them enough. Location of CS... made the rounds of the world (india if your wondering) so much uproar on it they moved it back to Austin. Oh and if you think they moved them back for our sake think again. Pay in india is rising was cheaper to bring them back (suits wanted to understand and be able to say Your Fired with out an interpreter) UO has been shufled not because we dont make the company $$ but because WE DO. Not just in monthly subs, the Origin store rakes in a nice penny... I serioulsy doubt the company is ignoring Australia or any other $ paying customer its just the time it takes to get things up and running. The larger a company is the slower it gets. Mom and pop companys move their tush cause they have to compete for business.... EA with billions in sales ... YES with a B Has no such need to rush and fix a problem asap.... oh btw.. When was the last time you saw a comercial on SWor? So for those of you saying we here at UO are the ugly step children of EA.... not quite. We just happen to be in a big family of games that the parents cant keep track of and honetly dont have the time to bother to look.. they have Suits for that. :devil:

Is it possible for a friend in the U.S. to purchase the codes for you, ICQ the code numbers to you and you reimburse them via PayPal or some other trusted site or service?
