Like this or in the forum? http://uo2.stratics.com/posts/category/the-sparrows-nestYea, I don't think I actually said what a terrific upgrade this is. I am absolutely loving this new system. Congratulations to everyone that put any time and effort into making this happen. It was well worth the effort. I wonder if it would be possible to have a section on dev tweets from Twitter? Might be worth it for Stratics members who don't do the whole social media thing to get a little more info from us devs to post to Twitter. Just a thought.
Regardless, brilliant job Syrus, Air, Petra, and everyone else!
Cheers,
Grimm
I didn't know about that! Lady Laurel's on the case! Feel free to add my feed to the list as well!I think TheGrimmOmen probably didn't know about the Sparrow's Nest feature, Lady Laurel does copy the posts to UHall.
I've been researching this. I think there's a way, at the very least, to organize them in a way that's more compact on something called a sprite sheet. What's a sprite sheet? How is one made? I have no clue.A word of thanks for all the emoticons. Is there a better way to organize/ resize that pulldown or open it in its own sub screen like at the older forums?
Step 1:A dislike: On the old forums, I would load up UHall, hit Tab, type in my user name, hit Tab, type in my password, hit Enter, and be logged in. Here, I load up UHall, hit Tab, and now I'm trapped inside a popup Search box that blocks the actual log in link and very frequently won't go away no matter what I do. Annoying.
An issue: Speaking of logging in, if I don't click the "Log In" button with my mouse, and instead just hit Enter after typing in my password, it sometimes takes me upwards of 15 tries to actually be logged in. I'll hit enter, it will crunch for a second, then it will reload the page, and I'm still not logged in. Or it will log me in, and then I'll open up a thread in a new tab, and in this new tab I'm not logged in. Or it will log me in, I'll open up a thread in the same tab, and suddenly I'm not logged in. If I check "Stay logged in" this seems to work properly, as far as I can tell. But it should either function properly without forcing me to "Stay logged in," or if "Stay[ing] logged in" is the only way it can function properly, I shouldn't have to check a box every time, it should just be the default behind the scenes.
Nobody else has had trouble. I've just tested it over and over--logging out, logging back in; tabbing, entering, clicking. I can't replicate it.Despite quoting my entire post, it seems as though you didn't actually read my entire post, because your reply does nothing to address the whole "logging in is straight up busted, because under certain circumstances it just completely fails to function" part.
If you've found a bug, you should really post it in the Suggestions and Bug Reports forum.Despite quoting my entire post, it seems as though you didn't actually read my entire post, because your reply does nothing to address the whole "logging in is straight up busted, because under certain circumstances it just completely fails to function" part.
I'm not sure the old method can/will work anymore. The Log-In itself is working, just the manner of reaching it has changed, slightly, and a keyboard-only method may not work now.Despite quoting my entire post, it seems as though you didn't actually read my entire post, because your reply does nothing to address the whole "logging in is straight up busted, because under certain circumstances it just completely fails to function" part.
