Origin Store apparently doesn't want UO players' Money!

Seriously!

First on January 25, 2012 I tried to purchase the Gothic and Rustic theme pack using the paypal option. This result in a total fiasco.

First it cancelled my order. However paypal had paid EA and it showed up on my creditcard statment.

When I contacted Origin store at the EA CS phone number I was told it was a paypl problem not theirs.

I contact paypal and they say the problem is with EA. They had paid Digital River, the electronic processor EA uses.

So after some hunting I find a number and contact Digital River, the person assured me they'd issue me a credit.

Yeah they did alright for $2.50, the purchase was $16.05.

So I had to go back to paypal who after listening to the circles I had been ran in, credited the rest of the money to my paypal account.

Then after waiting I decided to try again tonight to finish upgrading my accounts. I decided to aviod paypal and just plug in my credit card.

I get authorization failed, I rechecked and reentered everything. Same thing.

This is the very same American Express card I auto-pay for my 6 accounts with every month.

I did try by phone but because of my stupidity and confusion I gave the wrong secret word and now I got wait 24 hrs to purchase the upgrades.

Mesanna And Jeff Skalski I hope you read this because that is $70.60 you will NOT be getting from me. Now for the love of GOD fix the store!

No sorry, it ain't funny. This story is told over and over, by different people, all the time. You hear it in chat, you hear it here, it's a crying shame.

I had to lay my card down and use the son-in-laws last time. No idea why.

Truly, there isn't a lot of mystery as to why some EA games are failing and losing scripts. I even had accounts I tried to activate and couldn't, because of the 9 account limit...

And no, call me redneck, but I ain't calling anyone and dealing with em, and that cs crap. Been there done that with a sour taste, for sure.
I got money to spend, EA should be making it real easy for me to give em money, instead of making me beg em to take it.

I had to remote terminal into a machine in the USA to do it (because the Finnish site is so disfunctional), and essentially misuse the site by entering a nonexistant American address during the checkout. But after those hurtles were overcome, the paypal part of the transaction went great.

Well I'm glad the Origin Store's paypal option work for someone. It boogered up for me. Maybe Origin Store don't like Amex??? I'm disgusted and ticked off.

I have been having the same problem. The Credit Card which works just fine and has been working fine now for years to pay for my Ultima Online subscription fees, gives me errors whenever I try purchasing codes for the same exact game. Go figure....

Personally, I grow so tired of trying that I gave up on buying codes. I am tired of having the credit card which works for everything else giving errors when purchasing UO codes and so I am no longer trying to buy UO codes even though I would like to.

Sure, now and then I would like to buy some codes but then I think of all the trouble and difficulties trying to place an order and I say why bother.........

It beats me though, why the hell it is so difficult to buy codes. I mean, since the credit card is linked to the Account Management page, and works just fine for paying the UO bubscription fees, why on earth when I use the same exact credit card the Origin Store cannot check that it is good, valid and functional for the subscription and then allow it to consequently also work for the sale of the codes ?

Yes, please, do something to make the codes' purchasing process less troublesome.
Most importantly, make it so that if the same credit card that is being used to pay for the UO subscription fees is also used to pay for UO codes, then the purchase of codes will be accepted without giving errors of some sorts.

I had the same problem with the origin store, having any and all payment methods list "Authorization Failed". After contacting and getting no help, I finally emailed Mesanna, and she was able to get it fixed for me. She said that somehow my origin account (and my husband's) had gotten corrupted.

It truly is a pain that no one seems to be able to help with these situations except for Mesanna. So much gets put onto her, when customer service should be able do it, though it shouldn't be happening in the first place. The move over to the origin store was a huge mistake (my opinion) for many reasons.

Well it looks like UOs days are numbered. Less cash flow means UO will soon be economically nonviable. Too bad, I was going to upgrade my 2 accounts when I return from the suck.

This stupid crap with the dang store, Ish being messed up, the packie xfer stuff...alot crap happening to players and it seems fat lot they care about us.

Okay this is utter BS!!! I been on hold since 8 pm CST, it is now 8:57 CST and EA CS closes at 9 pm CST.

I'd like to know what the problem is, since someone mention their UO account got corrupted. My account is 11 years so that could be a possibly.

This is without a doubt the sorriest CS I have ever seen! JEEZ, They make friggin Directv look like CS gods. If you have Directv like me you'll recognize that as sarcasm. lol
