I had to move mine, and I believe you need to double click the Shield when it is not locked down. I will try right now and confirm...I unlocked them from my wall but when I try to grab them i get "you cannot pick that up" Any ideas? I tried locking down again with the house owner and also the shield owner then unlocking and I can't take them down.
Release it from being locked down and then double click it. It will become a deed in your backpack again.I unlocked them from my wall but when I try to grab them i get "you cannot pick that up" Any ideas? I tried locking down again with the house owner and also the shield owner then unlocking and I can't take them down.
Yup, I had a similar situation last week. Called a GM and in less than 5mins I had the item in my backpack neatly deeded. (response was amazingly fast).In that case you call a GM to redeed it. If that is you cant get the owner of the shield to log in and do so.
As would the Scroll of Transcendance book as well.Agreed.
They would be extremely more functional if you could use them from a bank.
Hi Theo;As would the Scroll of Transcendance book as well.
Not if you only want to go to a shard once. Then you're stuck with a shield making tokens every month you don't want.the shields are fine - just place 1 for the shard you want to go to and one for your shard, take both tokens, use one to get there and the other one to get back - problem solved
right but if i can make it back to my bank to put the pinks in it, why cant i put them in the book?Hi Theo;
I wouldn't swear to but I believe the reason the Scroll of Transcendance book has to be in a house is so people don't bring that little charmer out to where you GET the pinks..
Also to the guy about the shields .... you do NOT need a house on another shard to use the shields to transfer to one shard from another. The shields are account bound so only the account that got them can use them, and if he's not old enough to use them then how did he get them?? ( unless he used an older account to placed them )
I would love to see Recipe books though *sigh* .. if its not one thing its another![]()
Hi there Ezekiel Zane,If you want to claim a Shard Shield on a server different from your home shard, you do indeed need a house in order to place the shield and claim the token.
At a minimum you need a friend, on that server, who trusts you enough to allow you to be a co-owner in their house long enough to place the shield and claim its token.
For example, a player plays Pacific shard but has some valuable stuff on Baja. You can't just claim a shard shield for Pacific on Baja unless you have a house there to use because without a house you can't place the shield and claim the token.
What you have to do is claim two veteran reward shard shields on Pacific, one for Pacific and one for Baja. Then, transfer a character to Baja from Pacific, taking with you the token to get back to Pacific, pick up the stuff you want to take back with you and then use the token to return to Pacific.
Now you have a Shard Shield to Baja, making another token every month, and yet you may never ever need nor desire to transfer to Baja again. Wasteful don't ya think because the tokens are account-bound?
Make circuits, don't just go point to point.Yeah if I was a heavy x-shard trader or a merchant, which I'm not, I'd have Shard Shields for the servers I frequent but I probably also would have at least 4 Shard Shields for my home shard so as to be able to take more trips each month.
