I have never actually read through the whole LLTS book to be able to have an opinion on if violates TOS or not, and like with everything else, when you want to find something - none are around lol. With the absolute outright hatred some have for LLTS I would guess it skirts the barely legal area tho, I am sure some of those with the hatred have reported it a few times already over the years. Don't know for sure though.


Speaking of that, just in case there are folks out there who need the same advise I definately need on occasion .....

Kylie Kinslayer, rather than "hatred," I see surprise & irritation at Stratics that:-

(1) exclusively Atlantic-specific matters are being permitted here in UHall when they belong in the Atlantic history thread,

(2) blatant advertising with only the most tenuous link to UO is permitted in posts here in UHall, and

(3) the perceived lack of balance when others' threads are moved/removed from UHall while this one (with Atlantic specific content & advertising) remains.

Rather than feeling part of a community, for the first time ever on Stratics, I really feel I am little more than the target for someone's marketing.

Actually, the book drop crap they do in game does violate the TOS, and they won't adress it in this thread.

But how about changing the title, because it's not accurate and it's an insult to Tel'Mithrim, who is in fact the oldest guild in UO - as a guild, they predate LLTS/Syndicate by 4 years. They played through Neverwinter Nights and moved right on into UO.

They probably have special permission to drop the books, but are unable or not allowed to tell anyone.

Knowing Tel' Mithrim pretty well, I suspect they are not insulted by these silly claims, but rather find it amusing and typical of the Edain.

So, for the sake of clarification, Stratics is okay for anyone to make strictly shard specific posts in UHall, to include site links which advertise real life items for real life currency, and to generally harvest the UHall community for personal profit.

I think your clarification needs clarification.
- That guild is not shard specific. I see members (and their books) on Catskills.
- I checked out their website, I didn't see any RL cash sales. Please PM me a link if I missed something.

Ok, let's clear something up. It's the sale of in-game goods or services for RL cash that are in violation of the RoC. Linking to a site that sells real world goods for real world currency is fine, providing that's not the sole intent of the post. An example of that would be "Click here to visit our guild's website and buy our book!". I don't feel that's the case with this thread. So please save the PM's unless you have an example of in-game goods being sold for RL cash. Thank you.
