Vendors in Moving Crate

I have a house which had vendors from another account, and I terminated their contract to get them to decay (need to xfer the house). The owner of these vendors has not been active for a very long time - years in fact- but the vendors were empty and probably had millions of gold so would take forever to decay from lack of money for their meager daily maintenance.

My question is now they are in my moving crate but I cannot access them, presumable because the account they belong to is still being funded even though they dont play anymore (the owner is in my guild so I see his last login dates for any of his characters is back in 2008) Will these vendors stay in this state until they stop funding their account? And then at that point whoever is owning my house would be able to access their gold right?

Thanks

Once a rented vendor goes into the moving crate, the vendor owner has 7 days to collect their stuff before it is available to the house owner. So just wait a week.

Barok is correct.
Once you terminated the vendor no matter how much gold they have on them, at the end of the cycle for their agreement and they pop into the moving crate.
You have the 7 days till they become dust and you are left with their clothes and any funds they had in their possession.

Then you can freely transfer the house... if you do so without this time going by the new owner will have that privlage.

Actually, you didn’t need to terminate the vendors. They will go... but it wouldn’t hold the deal up.

Some change, awhile ago... makes it so you can transfer the account WITH vendors on it. This happened a year or so ago, for a friend, his house had a 1 month long vendor sitting on it and still we were able to do the trade.

Unless this was changed... you may be able to transfer the account even now.

People who don’t check their vendors at least 1x a week... I really don’t have much compassion for, not to mention when you put up warnings, message them, or otherwise give every opportunity to get with the program.

Also, I strongly recommend anyone who rents out vendor space only choose the 1-week option for this very reason. When these pink deeds were designed, we had a much stronger player base and people were a little more careful with the stuff and money vendors held. Now they can just vanish from game, say nothing, you are left with a dead vendor and then could be waiting 29 days for it to be kicked out once you kill the contract.

Wow, does this sound sick or what? The vendors are left under the house in a crate until they turn to dust? Aren't there laws against that kind of abuse?

(Sorry just couldn't resist. The author in me conjured up all sorts of dreadful detective storylines when I read your post.)
