Yeah I just spent $58 there this morning. I then applied the $20 promo coupon from my purchase two days ago. It didn't work. First time in 11+ years I ever had to call EA.

Of course the person I spoke to was unable to fix it and I'm now escalated and have to wait 36 - 48 hours before calling back.


It was nice to see so many of the UO products back in the Origin Store though.

The Origin Store for UO need a lot of work still.

I recently attempted to purchase some Legacy Tokens from the store.
What a chore that turned into, first I find that I can not change the quantity from 1 to any other number, forcing me to make each token purchased a separate transaction, then after entering all my info at checkout, the site stuck in an endless loop where it would not enter my credit card 3 digit security code.

I waited a few days and was finally able to purchase 2 tokens, one each on two separate transactions.
With the purchases I received a code for $20 off a purchase of $50.

The problem is I would like to buy 7 tokens for $56 minus the $20 coupon for a total of $36. Which I can't do because I have to buy each $8 token as a separate purchase.
Or even if I was limited to 5 as the old site I could get those and maybe something else I need like ship paints.

What's this! Two tone and weathered paints are not listed.
I see the Captain's Bundle but I don't want that big ship or the useless wheel.

Please Origin, I want to give you my money for a few pixels!

I actually bought a bottle right before they changed UOGamecodes. It was it's own item, not listed as part of the Natural hair dye selection.

I personally think this is total bull, but I was told that if you are trying to use the code you can ask/demand to speak with a supervisor when you call, and they will probably give you a refund, but you have to pay the full price first. IF you do this, make sure to get the name of the agent, the name of the supervisor that approved the refund and the refund number.

I am returning after 2 yrs absence so a lot of stuff you list above I don't know about. Australia has its own origin address, and any link you click to the UO store automatically sends you to the Aussie one. You don't get any other choice. Our store sells:

The Gothic pack? plus all the stuff you list (accept 30 day game time, we seem to have that) As for what else is missing I don't know as I can't compare to the other stores. There is none of the deco type stuff like lady bugs or whatever that were there yrs ago.

I am getting tired of waiting for the High Seas to be available, it is the reason I returned.

Probably need a 'table' made for the various sub servers that Origin uses so we can see what is missing from what store.

Thank you for your response and information. I too think this is total bull as this is what the e-mail with the code says:

"Here is your $20 off discount code: ******************. You can use this code starting January 17 and is valid until January 31st, $49.99 minimum purchase required."

NO WHERE in the e-mail does it say that it will NOT work for UO. In fact I got the code BECAUSE of something that I bought for UO. They kind of shot themselves in the foot because now I will NOT buy what I had planned on buying from the UO Store!

Really need someone to post a list of what is on the AMERICAN Origin store so we can see what is missing here in Australia. Bit hard to 'know' what is missing when you don't really 'know' what is supposed to be there or what others have that you don't.

I wonder why it's so hard to synch them to the same products?

This was several years ago, but a developer mentioned that some companies prefer to keep their accounting separate for US revenue versus overseas revenue and they hinted that this was true of EA.

It's been in the news a lot recently - a bunch of companies, Apple, Google, and other tech companies have a lot of money overseas and they won't bring it into the US because the moment they do they get hit with a 35% corporate tax. Some presidential candidates want to do away with this tax or have a tax holiday for companies to transfer it back into the US, but until they do, a lot of companies keep the money they collect outside of the US, outside of the US.

I worked at a big company that had overseas operations. They were incredibly strict on billing and accounting and keeping everything separate.

Having one massive store for all EA customers, taking the 35% hit on collecting that money from overseas, then sending it back overseas to cover overseas costs would be foolish. On UO, it would be disastrous since a 35% hit on all non-US revenue concerning UO would probably put UO into the unprofitable category.

Better to have a US store and then stores outside of the US. Annoying? Yes, but might even be the difference between EA being profitable and not being profitable since EA has a lot of overseas operations and sales.

I am still waiting to be updated from my complaint regarding account management and origin store code problems. Currently if you add up the totals, EA owes me a $20 code from Origin Store, $6.71 from a 15% discount error, and $9.24 from an account management error which forced me to buy a 6 month game time code for another EA game DAoC when normally I pay for an annual subscription, but the working credit card which works for all my UO subscriptions and the Origins store wouldn't work for my DAoC account which is in the same master account as my UO accounts. Total amount EA owes me equals $35.95 in errors.
