How do you think it would fair against higher end critters.
How do you think it would fair against getting raided at spawns.

Am I better off just going with a fencer/archer?

I am asking here because I am at work and cant test.

You’re probably going to need more HCI and you will need DCI. You’re going to need 40lmc. I am not so sure about the resist. I think you might be better upping the weaving and med. Fencer archers aren't all that powerful anymore and I will confess that archers can be a bit underpowered in light of mystic throwers. There don't seem to be any real glaring holes in the temp but without parry I would definitely be a chugger and that would lead me to suggest EP. It’s hard to do good pve temps anymore as you’re always going to run into walls but in a group it seems like it should work with pots.

If you want to use a shield parry is nice. Its also good if its going to get you to the 300 threshold but you could also up it in the other skills I think going to 120 weaving would be a good idea as it will make your upper level spells more reliable.

Isn't 80 weaving a bit low for PvM? Isn't the biggest benefit the WoD?

BTW - your template is also fun in PvP. I would ditch anat/heal and heal though and pick up nox, heal with 4/6 chiv. Dismount with pixies and bleed.

Oh absolutely, but nox is worthless in pvm.

Sadly its never much of a debate its more me agreeing with him. Lynk is really really good both in pvm and pvp. We normally agree and just chime in on a point the other one missed. I am not a huge fan of running nox but it works well. The gimp non sampire pvp temp is throwers and the mystic throwers are insanely powerful in pvp and pvm. I am just still not totally happy with the suit that I am trying to put together for my new one.

Hey, poisoning does count towards the mana discount for special moves. Unfortunately, you won't get much out of poisoning monsters, but if you get some occasional visits by pvpers or pks...

Yeap good in pvp pretty much worthless in pvm. Pretty much like its always been.

In case you are going to run a human char, 40 med is pointless. You already got 20 med+20 focus from joat.
High end pvm will still be difficult on a non necro char without bushido/parry/ feint or mirror images/feint. To make the best out of this char for pvm without changing it to much , i would do

120 fencing
90 tactics
90 anat
90 heal
110 chiv
100 weaving ( for easier focus )
120 resist

Use a sign of order shield for maximum chiv damage bonus or a shield with soulcharge and damage eater depending on the situation.
For pvp, survivability will be basically the same, and i would not expect to kill a dedicated pvp char on either template. But will be decent in a group i guess.

Edit: Swords may be better for pvm here, just because with katana and radiant scimitar you got all the useful specials on fast one-handers.

before reading this post i am finishing up a temp similiar to this but for pvp

120 sw- in working process not sure if i should take it that high for pvp or not


i got the gear for it already 4/6 casting 40+lmc max hci max dci all 70s with 75 energy (elf)

i rock the kryss and warfork

and my stats are

120 str
100 dex
35 int

without pots or gear on..with gear im at about 140 hp, 130ish stam and 88 mana..
havent test it yet still working up the spellweave

spellweaveing at 40 is about right you just need to cast gift atunement and summon fey for pvp, pvm its low you want a good circle to allow reliable essence and tstorm at spawns they are handy for lvl 1/2/3 80+ pvm 100+ ideal
