So since when can you go into a rune book and sacred journey in fel dungeons?

Sacred Journey in Fel Dungeons?

You have always been able to since chivalry was released, but there were restrictions on dungeons that include champ spawns. I seem to remember it was only in certain proximity regions of the spawn.
If there were a non-champ spawn fel dungeon you could not sacred journey to it will be news to me. I haven't been around to too many old fel dungeons since I used to farm ancient liches for the Book of Truth?, which is a champ spawn region.

I just watched a guy use sacred journey at the alter in despise after the champ died with his scrolls, so I had no way to steal any...
Funny thing is..
it was the exact same guy I posted a pic of putting about putting SoT's in that SoT book & when I couldn't duplicate it I just figured he hid it someplace but after using the grid view on the EC and finding out he was putting them in the book & now watching him use another exploit to sacred journey out of the dungeon.
Maybe something could be done to fix these exploits?

That I know of, in Felucca it is not possible to recall straight into dungeons, only out of.
Unless you are saying that recalling in is not allowed but using sacred journey to get in is allowed.....
If this is the case, this is hardly any bug or exploit since recall and sacred journey are 2 separate spells and thus it is entirely possible that design wanted them to be differently penalized.
So, should this be the case that recalling in was not allowed but sacred journeying in was allowed, I would see this as a design decision and thus, working as intended especially since it has been years that things work this way, I seem to understand.....
In my experience you can not sacred journey into or out of the insides of fel dungeons or T2A, only to the dungeon entrances. I just double checked by walking into Covetous 3 and Shame and trying to sacred journey out from inside. As expected, I got a message to say you can't do that.If anyone can do so without use of exploits I'd be interested to know how.

I was curious to see how far out of touch I am with the current fel state and all my old rune books full of dungeon runes didn't work and I got the message I cannot teleport there. Went to covetous lvl one and couldn't journey out.
I am so outta touch.

What im saying is after a spawn the guy used sacred journey to teleport out of despise from the alter. Run back grab gold rinse repeat... I am not sure how he did it but I caught him doing it and he told me its a secret and he told an EM about it.
So there is a exploit to do it however I couldn't figure it out.

note that it MIGHT be related to the fact that in the non-fel spawns, you can't recall/SJ into or out of a spawn area, EXCEPT after the boss is defeated - at which time you can recall/SJ out.
Was it perhaps a character with ninjitsu? I was stealing scrolls at the coon on Chessy and saw someone cast sacred journey and disappear. I didn't realize you could do this, but a short time later found they had not left the island but rather had hidden and stealthed around. In other words, the sacred journey cast was a clever ruse on their part to make others think they were gone. He didn't have anything worth stealing.
There is a bug to do it. it only works with sacred journey. i don't know how they do it, but I've had people sacred journey out on me before in despise while i'm attacking them.

I would suggest trying sacred journey on the despise alter if testing it out. Move around on the alter spaces until it works or not.
If that fails it may be tied into after the Baracoon is killed and/or the moongate is up. It's been so long and never tried but I thought you couldnt mark in a fel dungeon anymore. So if you can't, unless it was an old rune spot already marked, does not explain why he can sacred journey back in the dungeon.
My gut feeling says it is tied in with the alter or an old rune spot before the devs changed the fel dungeons rules.

Well now that we know how its done.. it needs fixed.
Sorry, Exploit explanation moved to avoid even more exploitation of it - but will be brought to the attention of Mythic.
I don't think that is fair, while you may be suspicious, due to their apparent expliots, assuming guilt is unfair. I too carry a sot book while spawning, infact I carry two; one covers my pots and one covers bandage stacks. In the past I have used newbie clothing but it's a pain and gets in he way.

Exactly what i was thinking. I believe that the OP has some pro-thief issues and is being cleverly messed with
Which I fully approve of since IMO thieves are the only class ever created that do nothing but purely grief other players. Call it a skill/profession, say it is has been around since day one, etc.. but either way you slice it, it is pure griefing and not good for the game in general.
Stealing is non-consensual and there is no recourse. In my mind that is by definition griefing.
Pking is also non-consensual and frustrating but there is recourse.
