Origin Store web site, a question.......

I was looking at the Origin Store Web site and noticed that, among other Ultima Online items, Transfer tokens were at a promotional price of 16$ and Legacy Tokens at a promotional price of 8$.

Now, when adding them to the cart and then doing checkout, I get asked under "Login to EA" a, "EMail address" and a "Password".

Now, what information exactly is the web site "checkout" asking me and what for ?

I mean, I am spending money, I can understand asking me an email address to where the codes need be sent to but what about the "password" ??

Password for what ? What if I want to spend money as a gift for someone else ? I would not have an account and therefore a password to write in the field......

And what if I do not feel comfortable of writing my account's password in the field ?

I mean, I just did not understand the process of placing my order and cancelled it out.

Is there a way to place an order over the phone ? What is the number to call ?

Err Popps... Virtually every website you buy stuff from (especally online electronic items) you have to create a log in. Not to sound rude but its pretty simple to just sign in with your EA Master account and complete the shopping experiance. Its always been like that even when it was UOGamecodes (Back then it was your UO Login though)

It sounds like your trying to cause an issue over a non-issue. If you dont like putting in passwords for stuff online then I'ld suggest cancelling your internet and get rid of the computer :/

So you feel more secure giving a kid working in a call center (that may or maynot be loocated in India) your credit card info.

I don't use the account associated with my uo accounts for origin. If you use a different email address, you can create a separate account for these purchases.

Seriously. UO Gamecodes has required a login/PW since its inception. Origin does too. Its 2011, ALL online stores want/require you to set up an account. There is no possible way he could function on the interwebs and not know this.

popps they attach to a account so if you use a fraudulant credit card they can ban the account. This has been stated as they got hit with a ton of them years ago!!!

One can just make a new e-mail and register with the codes sale web site using that different e-mail and new password (different to the UO account ones) ?

The reason why I am confused, is that I seem to recall (it has been quite some time since I last tried using it...) that when placing an order for codes with the gamecodes web sites it asked for the UO account login and password before being able to continue with the placing of the order.......

That is why, when I went to this Origin store, I thought it would still be asking for the UO account e-mail address and password (I found no explaination of what e-mail/password it wanted to continue placing the order)........

But if it is possible to make a brand new registration with brand new e-mail/password different to the UO account then this makes things easier.

This is by far the (fill in the blank) question an active player has ever asked. If you really played UO you know this has been required for a long, long time. IMHO just more proof that Popps DOES NOT play UO.

Why do you guys still tease him? Most of his post do make sense and, most of them are just questions. Do any of you have relatives that are older and like to use a computer ? Makes sense to me, although Origin store is a diffrent thing then the uogametimecode store.. Think of it as wallmart vs K-mart. So yeah it will require a new set of login info etc.. etc.. If I am understand your question right.

Unfortunately, there have been times that I have had problems to purchase codes from UOGamecodes.

Luckily, I found help from the EA Support web site that helped me place the order using the credit card which I use to pay my monthly UO subscription and sent to my UO e-mail whatever codes I wanted to buy.
