Need more time to decode?!?!?!

WTH??

Doing a few tmaps tonight, and get the message, when I dbl click it, "You study the map but need more time to decode!" I had just finished a 5, so it took me a little bit, surely there hasnt been that long of a delay time put in to decoding maps. If it has, you just killed anyone training carto

I'm pretty sure, the last few skill gains you can only get from decoding T-maps. Unless, You get yourself discorded by a Satyr to lower your current skill value, so you'd be able to train carto- without decoding maps.

I thought it was 95 and above could only be done with decoding but it's been years since I did that skill.

from 99.5 you need maps to decode.
was the map that gave that message a tattered one? or one that had been read before?
If I remember right the only time I got that message was when the map was at the 30 day timer and reverted to tattered with a new location.

Lockpicking is the same way but starts at 95.0, you need to pick dungeon chests to gain above that point. Unless, you get discorded and use craft-able locked-boxes.

Aye, unless you get discorded, you have to rely on decoding maps from 99.5.

yes i tried the map today and it decoded just fine. so perhaps it was on the 30 day limit of recycling.

Was about to say it was the maps 30 day timer.... When you got a castle of nothing but maps and its that time of the cycle every map in the place reverts you learn it fast hehe.
