Never really been succesful in UO post AOS, but just returned and would like to see what's going on in Shame and am hoping to get some shiny items out of there
I've got these skills at the moment:
115 Sword
115 Tactics
102 Parry
102 Healing
100 Anatomy
85 Chivalry
34 Busido and training...
GM Archery, Focus and Lumberjack in Soulstones
My gear:
Mace and Shield Glasses
Leurocian's Mempo
Violet Courage
Leaher Arms with 97 Luck, 5 Stamina Increase, 12% reflect physical damage
Leather Leggings with 7 Stamina Increase and MR1
Stormgrip
Conjurers Trinket / Primer on Arms Damage Removal
Bracelet with +5 swords (not used atm), 6 dex, 2 int, 9 HCI, 100 luck
Ring with 6 dex, 43 luck, 8 HCI, FC1, 6% Lower Reg Cost
Soles of Providence
Crimson Cincture
Conjurer's Garb
Quiver of Infinity (what does the damage modifier actually do?)
Museum of Vesper Order Shield
Soul Seeker / Righteous Anger
Stats: 120+11 str, 125+22 dex, 10+10 int / 115+10 hp, 147+12 stam, 20 mana
Total Resists are 70+, 58, 70+, 44, 65
Luck is at 1060
Char is human
So far I can kill the stuff on level 1 and 2 of shame with ease even though I only deal around 25 damage per hit, but when I go up against the casters (fire/water elementals, evil mages) my healing is insufficient.
So what to do with this char? What gear needs an immediate improvement, and what would be the best items I could go for in the long run?
Is dropping healing and going Vampiric Embrace basically manditory nowadays? And why does everyone have 120 bushido? You'd only need 50 for honor and lightning strike was nerfed, right? What good is Evasion if it only works 30% of the time?
I also might need a better weapon. Any recommendations?
Regarding luck, is it not-done to put luck on a melee char nowadays? I need luck to get the shiny loot in shame, right? Or should I not use a warrior, but bring a mage to Shame instead? Or go throwing, that sounds fun too. Still have one of those around but he'd need an even bigger gear overhaul I think.
