Here on the forum, in game, anywhere, I have heard not one peep about the arena. Me and a friend went to look at it today on Atlantic just to make sure it was really there. Rankings showed a total of 57 people.
Is anyone doing this? Is there anything to be had from it?
All arenas or just one?Looks like only two people have used the Drachenfels arenas.
All arenas or just one?
That fizzled out quickly, but I'll keep my distillery... I guess most players don't drink and ride these days.brewing maybe.....
I'm NOT kidding when I say this, but perhaps the arenas are not popular yet because using them doesn't give you something that you can turn around and sell for a profit.
Fixed that for you sir.fixed that for you, and I think you're right
thanks, it's hard to be perfect when you're surrounded by "GODS"Fixed that for you sir.

Huh?I was also arguing with the FEW people who asked for arenas...
It was two person in particular with less than 100 posts.
And it honestly came as a big surprise to me that they actually did it, so MUCH opposition it received.
And now to learn that they designed 4 of them, and are asking players to move their house... hahaha
this is beyond anything I can address in one post.
As I was arguing way before they started making it ; it will only split the community further.
It should be a separate shard (and we know full well in 2011 that its easy to open a second virtual machine on the LEGENDS server which is almost empty)
PVP LEGENDS anyone ?
But my suggestion was ridiculed, then violently opposed, only to resurface as self-evident truth today.

Jury is still out here.
Keep in miind that there are a TREMENDOUS amount of people hunting in shame and chasing Giant Turkeys. Once this wears off - the arena's will get more play.
Right now there is no limited time or special reward like Shame/Turkeys and Arena's will 'always be there' so they aren't getting much use.
Give it 3-4 months.
The arena itself isn't useless. It's actually really entertaining when used. It was a pretty popular spot on test.2nd largest shard in game
great lakes
4 people have used and or been there.
TOTALLY useless
It's up to seven now!2nd largest shard in game

TOTALLY useless
Are you joking? I was on test every night when they had arena on test and it was always 6 people at the most getting bored of fighting each other...we had our little group of mages dueling over and over and once in a blue moon someone new would pop in...that seems more UNpopular than popular to me.The arena itself isn't useless. Obviously you weren't there during high time then...Are you joking? Arenas on every shard is the way to go. I want to duel the people that I have been playing with over the years on my home shard.mwahaha
HAAA hahaaha
well... Goldberg, sorry, but I'm not working for you.
The point is : make ONE arena for all servers, with character copy, much more interesting. Don't divide... you picking at my bad english skills does not improve our communication and community building effort ; you sound as in a war with me.
A jerk ? really ? how well do you know me...
Let the community make events IN the system (very easy to code)
you go facts digging if you really mean to open your ears.
Me and my friend are 2 of those people.2nd largest shard in game

I dont know what you are talking about because I have been living and pvping in Felucca for 14 years and there are people around all the time.It is not about care. From a point of view i do care about arenas, because at least two players liked the idea and it was not disruptive for other playstyles.
It's about "fun". And what 0.5% of the players and 100% of the developers seems not to understand is that the vast majority of the player base has no - zero, none, null, nothing - fun in PvPing.
It doesn't matter the context, the risk, the reward, the amount of baits or how many "incentives" they put: this game has 14 years and for 14 years it had 10 pvper and 1 gazillion pvmer/crafter/collectors... everything but pvp.
So when they answer the question "how important is pvp" saying "it is very important and whatever..." we can't but think: here we go again.
Felucca -> empty
Siege -> empty
Arenas -> empty
The built one event shard for halloween pvp only... empty: 1 shard for 100.000 players (i hope...) and you could barely form an order team.
It's an astonishing and quite wondrous dedication we see here.
Uhh, define vibrant please? Because Trammel sure as hell isnt vibrant my friend. And my post never said or implied Felucca as vibrant or bustling. Just populated. Same as Trammel.If Felucca is so populated, where are all the people? Yes there's a small clique of a couple guilds on each shard that fight over power scrolls. Yes, lots of Trammel people have houses there.
But don't try to act like it's some vibrant bustling place, like people here have never played UO before and might actually believe you.
Double fame, double resources, exclusive dungeon, champ spawns, better Shame loot, bla bla bla, and it's still a ghost town.
