Gents, wanna to get some ideal who you guys play a Char as a warrior, I get killed a lot not too sure what is lacking for my play skill, I see most warrior got their HP refilled all the time and I had no ideal how they did it, even with some 52% hit life weapon I still get killed a lot, please show me some good tips on how to play a good warrior! thx

120 Bu/Sword/Tactic/Parry
100 Neco
Rest on Chv and Anto

Base stat Str 95/ Dex 125 /Int 35

Even excuting Vampire and Evasion, I still get killed quiet often as the HP just wont refill as fast as i see most other warrior do, how did you guys make it every single time get hit, then the HP will get refilled? thx a lot Guys

You need to be in vampiric embrace to get the life leech from necro.
As you didnt post the stats from your suit and weapon and what monsters you have trouble with, its hard to help.

Honor everything you fight. Perfection helps a lot. Also lightning strike with every swing, until you get the feel of the template. And as the commenter mentioned above, need to be in vampire form. A good sampire starting weapon is the soul seeker, just don't use it to fight undead. Since you don't have magic resist, stay away from casters initially.

Please post your suit and weapon and we might be able to pinpoint what's going on for you. It could be a few things, like not having enough damage increase on your suit or using the wrong weapon.

I had some imbused Suit with heavy Mana focus

MI 8, MR2, Fire/Physical 70/70, Weapon Soul Seeker, with +10 Chv Sheild, inbused ring/bracelet, DCI 15, DI 22, HCI 15, 22% Fire resist, trying to kill some stronger Monster like Hiryu, Great Dragon, sometimes find it even hard to kill a KazeK as out of a sudden my HP just gone from 80% to 0, not too sure what kind of magic it had on me, I wonder how you guys managed to Solo those mini champ Boss, like Sty Dragon?? I can't even get to kill 2-3 Ninja at a time. So, what is the key here exactly? My swingspeed? My Stamina? Or related to a slayer weapon? What has it got to do with getting hit? I do have Vampire on, even, but, it doesnt seem to be making any different, I havent try cursed weapon with SS, it is also a must?

One obvious mistake is that you use a shield with bushido and parry. Drop that shield, i reduces you parry chance to 5%.
Also it seems you not have the best suit. At absolute minimum you would need around 150 stam, 30 mana, 90-100 di from items, as many hp you can get. Your 30hci/30dci are ok for now, but try to get more.
That soulseeker is not optimal today, for your setup i would suggest a radiant scimitar and a daisho imbued with 20ssi,max stam and mana leech,45-50 di and remaining points into hld.
You also should learn what perfection, confidence, evasion, lighting strike, momentum strike and counter attack do. These are the most important bushido abilities, learn to use them well, they can make a very big difference if used right.
Use honor on everything, use eoo when possible and turn it off when not needed.
Have keyboard macros for everything , if using a one-handed weapon take advantage of potions, even the cheap pots from npcs make a big difference .

Your primary goal as sampire is to do enough damage to stay alive. That means you need to keep hitting your opponent and not droppping swingspeed to much after taking damage.

Always watch your stamina, if it drops to low use a refresh pot or divine fury.

Do not worry about greater dragons or hiryus now. Especially hiryus can be extremly nasty , they can kill even a well equipped sampire in 2 lucky hits if you have all odds against you.

When fighting things that do heavy damage with physical attacks, use an armored swamp dragon for damage reduction and possibly feint with the daisho.
Also have a look here http://uo.stratics.com/content/arms-armor/combat.php

You do not really need curse weapon for most things, the 20% life leech you get from vampiric embrace is enough in most cases.

HLL on your weapon is a crap. 50% HLL gives you 0-15% hp while vampire gives you 20%.

Greater Dragon has a breath attack. It does up to 70 damage and can't be resisted (doesn't affected by resists on your suit).

Thx for all the gents advises, after a day of practice, I think I started to know what is really needed to play a good warrior, true better honor everything, and it's also nice to have SS with cursed weapon on too, one thing im not so sure about is Vampire state, hmm, doesnt seems really reflecting anything at all once I got hitted, but cursed weapon for sure did, also, is there a way to know if I am already in Vampire state? I dont really see any indication of me being into a vampire status, even i Had eaten a 120Neco + jew makes me 120, any suggestions??

You need to cast the spell 'vampiric embrace' . If it succeeds, your skin turns very white and you get the life leech ability. Only 99 necro is reqiured for that, no difference at 120 necro.
Go into vampire form and leech 20% life from a all weapon damage you do.

Your already pretty well on your way to a sampire. The most important things to get are the right equipment. Slayer weapons and a good suit of armor are key.

Make sure your weapon looks something like this to start. This is a simple weapon to have crafted with an artificer and some imbuing resources.

- 40 Damage Increase
- 44 Hit Stamina Leech
- 44 Hit Mana Leech
- XX Swing Speed Increase
- Slayer (or Super Slayer)

For the SSI, you need to swing 1.25s. This depends on your SSI, total stamina and the weapon base speed. Find the SSI charts to help you optimize. I like to have at least 150 stamina so with a 3s weapon I can swing at max with 20 SSI. Add a little stamina buffer to account for debuffs.

For the slayer, use the best one for your targetted foe (or adventuring area).

For Swords, I recommend a broadsword for an AI weapon and a radiant scimitar for a whirlwind weapon. For fencing, leafblade and kama respectively. For Macing, war axe or blackstaff respectively.

You can make tweaked weapons for specific encounters, but this should get you started as an all purpose weapon setup.

There something wrong with a kryss for fencing? AI appears to be it's primary.

Also, the below link seems to indicate that 180 stamina and fencing weapons (2-3s speed) means you don't need any SSI (150 stamina would mean only need 5% SSI). Is that true or link out of date?

I don't know about the fencing weapon question, but the stamina question is right.

If you could keep your minimum stamina to 180 forever you wouldn't need SSI with some weapons. The problem is that you take stamina reduction during the damage calculations. This means your stamina may on average be only above 150. So the calculation is determined by that 150. Then if you get hit big your next attack could be based on 90 or 120 stamina depending. You will have to watch your stamina and perceive on each creature you fight the minimum stamina you have. Sometimes you will have to remake a weapon to add SSI. I started out with 0 SSI on my main weapons, but then remade my weapons.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a Kryss.... I could test it out, it is just that a Leafblade is SO much better.

If your only source of healing is from vampiric embrace, the damage done with a kryss could be a bit low. You not only leech less life, but also less mana to work with.
But if you run healing, a kryss can be used to take most things down.

Wraith form and curse weapon up, kryss is also fine. Ai, ai , ai ... thing is dead. Once i did a doomrun using a shortblade ( same damage as kryss) and everything went fine.

Its actually a good weapon for beginners because you need only 90 stam and can fit more mods.
Pair that with a decent kama and you have a good set of weapons that can be used with a low-end suit.

For a fencing sampire, i think double bladed staff is the cheapest weapon that could be used. But ofc leafblade is much better.

The next step after being damaged is getting your stamina back up to the desired SSI/stamina setting. The tricky part is you are trying to get your damage to max for conversion back to stamina, which then you need to choose a hit stamina leech value that determines the percentage chance for you to leech the stamina back. This value then plays into the weapons property weights so if you could have 50% and get 50% chance on getting back stamina then maybe you can be at maximum stamina and not need SSI. If your HSL is 25% then maybe only each four swings you will leech any stamina back at all and hopefully in those four swings each four are successful hits where the leech chance would be successfull at least once. I never get my weapons that high of HSL because of the desire to have so many other important properties on the weapon. You have to expect that your stamina will drop at minimum for two swings or more if your HSL is less than 50%. If your stamina dropped to 90-119 range then you need a damage hit of at least 90 as well as a successful HSL to get your stamina back to the 180 stamina range.

The suit, weapon, and foe combination makes the warrior whole. You have to play each situation differently. This is the warrior zen.

Very true, I didnt know Stm played such a big important role for a warrior, that explained why I got killed so often before, as I wasn't aware when I am getting hit my Stm dropped and without stm, you can't hit anything therefore nothing will be leeched no matter what you had imbused into yr weapon. No wonder everyone is a Dexxter:thumbup1:drink potion if you are fighing boss grade monster, to keep yr stm high so that you can finish it faster. I think just keep this in mind, then the rest, it's all about individual play style. I personally enjoy momem attack from bushido a lot, you can't imagine how much fun it's to slay many mobs at one time without any damage to be done to yrself.:thumbup1:

Wanna give some feedback after a weeks playing as warrior, please comments if u have better ideals, or a re cap for newbies, i had this template running for a week, i think it worked for me quite well,

Bus/anatomy /tactics /sword /parry 120
Neo 99, 10 chiv (bump the rest of cap if i had 720)

Didn't like healing too much, my playstyle is a bit aggressive, i plan to change anatomy to ninjisu later when my skill is fully trained, if u are playsafe type, keep anatomy and healing and u can really kill anything with some macroing help, bang self every 3.5sec regardless if u are hurt or not, just have 1000bang in yr pack...then u are almost invincible uless u get to meet something that can knock u down by 1 or 2 hits. It's mechanical playstyle, yet i think it's the most time efficient way to do the killing.

I had jew and weapon and shield to bring me to 50chiv. .and i only make use of EoO

Due to the population ),i had a feeling it should work very well if it's not due to my connection speed, maybe u guys would like to feed back to me,in the mean time,I'm looking for a new internet connection...

Your chiv is a bit low and EoO can be dangerous. For more aggression try a sampire. That’s more survivable and there are numerous offensive builds for it. Ninja can be a bit rough if your connection is questionable.
