Just tried mine, the update server is apparently unavailable. It happens occasionally. Just leave your client on to avoid using up the last 3 attempts. The server will likely be back up later today. Probably just routine maintainance.

I am glad it was not just me.

I think it happened yesterday too, which is worrying, but we shall see.

UO Assist is immensely reliable and the site is rarely (not never but rarely) down for all that long.

Start last night for me that update fail. IF i recall their is a way to reset the failing number, have to do it many moon ago ( 5 years ago) when same thing happen.

so i killed off my UO to load it to test it and sure enough it didnt patch.

i just logged on today and same thing, no updateace.

definitely down for the weekend.

I can't remember who posted that, but I have it copied to my hdd. Only trouble is, I'm not 100% sure how legal it is to do.

What I can tell you is, it won't work if you let the thing count right the way down till uoa disables.

while it was at that screen, i went into settings and changed it to check for updates 'Once a Day' instead of 'every time', maybe it'll buy me some log-ins.
(i'll change it back later)

The fix no longer works. I would guess that the registry entry value it tells you to change it to is no longer valid. Sorry.

I was gonna try SA thru tomb of kings - can't remember those "secret decoder ring" passwords the Devs added in to enter (had it in a macro). F* it. I'll go do something else

I believe 'ord' and 'anord' are what you are looking for.
