Losing Battle

Had a fight today and lost it. Person in question I don't trust even tho he gives big speechs in general chat about being more mature. Constantly begging for duels or fights on chat. We all know who he is and he leaves and sells everything on a regular bases. All the stuff on me was old old and needed to leave me, for me to replace it and give me something to do.

Died and was near a healer and made the mistake and got close to my body. Died again... Gave me back 99% my stuff and kept my robe of power. Offered me his evil hued robe of something... Said NTY and handed it back, he then puts on my robe of power. Im thinking OK now I can resuit up the right way and fight back and have some fun. He then evil dyes my robe of power.

It had been 6 months before id even talk to him and just stealth out in every situation. Knowing his not having anyone to play with was the biggest thing I could do to him.

If I cannot even use what I lost then why bother trying? Yes he should and could have tossed my crap in the barrel.

I TY'd him many times for all I got back but explained to him the way I looked at it. All I got in return was the usual spout of immature hate.

Everything on me i was prepared to lose. I attacked and lost and thats the way it is. I'm pancakes not about this or that or the other. Just explaining why fighting back on a scale of friendly fun is pointless when the other guy destroyies your best item in a single swipe. Nope... we didnt agree on one damn thing... Everything about not taking someone elses stuff was only one sided on my assumption. Damn lucky to get one thing back. But this is why I won't next time. You having uber items that I cant use in any way-shape-or form is one thing. But you being able to make my stuff unusable to anyone but you is BS. Honestly man... If you want fun then keep it fun for the other guy too.

not sure what a robe of power is, i think you mean cloak of power? i just sold one of these for 200k the other day. i know you can't get them anymore, but they're still out there. no idea why you would be running around pvping in one though... +2 of each stat definitely wont give that big of an advantage, not big enough to risk something that's difficult to replace.

on a side note, if something is evil dyed, can it not be dyed to good hue and equipped by a TB or COM? lots of us pvpers play factions, so if anything, we can use it if it gets put into circulation.

He dyed the item hoping to get under your skin, and look...it did! You just let him win a second time.

You can only be griefed if you let someone's actions *cause* you grief.

I had a cloak of power once. I died and I lost it - so now I wear something else.

I had a nice imbued suit a couple of days ago. I died and lost it. - so now I'll make do with something a bit less till I can get the relic frags to re-make it.

That's how this shard works. Or does that only apply when it's not you that died?

The point I was trying to make is if you want me to come back for a fight then dont destroy my stuff.

Honestly thought I covered all the possible grief issues in explaining that I lost my stuff and oh well. THIS is the reason im not coming back to him for more fun/fighting.

Hes not pissing me off. Hes not making me leave the game or shard. Hes not keeping me from making all the same crap (besides the cloak) again. This is just a "WHY" I wont play with him or people of this attitude. Yes he won the fight but loses on any further fun battles. If you have no issue playing with people that totally destroy your stuff, then fine. If you have no issue coming back over and over losing your stuff and doing nothing but junking his useless stuff, then fine on your behalf again.

If I fight someone I won't destroy they're stuff, I hope for the same from the other guy. It's just as easy to smoke bomb away leaving them no fun, as it is to play and have some "different" type of fun. Offering (or being offered) a buyback is pointless when your stuff now becomes garbage. He wins on both counts... Gets my stuff and uses/destroys it... I get his stuff and its all garbage to me and I cant offer a buyback cause he destroys mine.

If it's evil dyed, it cannot be altered. Same thing if it's hero dyed.. can't be altered.

I've always been factions but this IS something that needs to be changed. Sure keep the Hero/Evil dye, but give non faction folks the ability to turn it back to normal... There is no point to limit the use of items. It's quite ridiculous actually.

There is an item called Bleach in this game... it is obtains once and only once by doing one of the Virtue quests. I thought I read it removes the Evil dye or the Hero dye.

If I correct, some ppl may try doing those quests, if not correct then do this.

Regardless whether it is Evil dye/ or Hero dye... trash can it.

As Lord of the True Britains, I order this as standard play.

It removes the colour, not the restriction.

The bleach does not remove the faction part of the dye. it just removes the color so only factions can still wear it. If you faction dye a vet reward robe/cloak tho you can revert it to normal by using the turn in chest in moonglow to trade it for a new item version over and over again till you get your original item back. For example i took a agapite evil faction dyed robe, dropped it in the chest, it gave me the gargoyle version, i dropped it back into chest, got dress, did it one more time to get robe again. and guess what! I was able to wear it because the faction dye was gone. The chest rewrites the faction dye coding away on vet rewards.

What's the difference between this and a) cutting up armor or b) trashing it or c) just never giving/selling it back? Any of those scenarios make this piece "non-usable" and all are are legit outcomes to fighting on Siege.

And when you and him are spamming in gen chat about being bored, nothing to do, no one wants to fight, no one will sell you anything, shards dead, ect ect... You'll not have to ask yourself why no ones responding to you or playing with you. You and others like him can just ride the fast boat to a new online game where people can learn what type of player you are, cause we (at least I) already know and won't deal with it (your type) here. Several guilds have done your type of "Game play"... Every single one is gone.

99% of Siege's players are doing things on a solo bases. So you can fight um on a single bases, have your stuff destroyed (or thiers) on a single bases, and then work by yourself replacing it. I'll just smoke bomb away and leave you all that "Style" of PvP to the next guy you randomly find.

If destroying my and others stuff is your biggest joy, then me smoking away every time and ignoring you will remove all your joy while I just pretend you don't exist somewhere else in the game. Enjoy...

I refuse to play by Trammel rules. I jump people when they least expect it. I play the "under-handed" role. I'm an opportunist. However, what I am not is a griefer. I generally do not loot. If I do, it's something insignificant (Vlad's green shoes) or something I want. Even though I don't do these things, others might and there's nothing wrong with it. It's their play style and Siege was made for it.

I don't whine (at least publicly). If I die and you get my stuff, you earned it. If you want to sell it back, great but that's your prerogative. If you don't, I'll make more. I play by Siege's rules, not yours. If people leave because they can't handle the parameters set forth for this shard, then good riddance. There's no point in having Siege if it's just like every other shard.

This means you wont ever start a thread to share your own feelings or issues in the game that bother you... You might get the same heat I take when I do just that.

So you hop on someone elses thread, makes your posting in hopes no one notices, and then duck out.

What I did I did one time and it was during a personal fight between me and AE (and her roommate she claims). This happened one time years ago. And at that time the Cu's were new and no (supposedly) harm was to come, I didn't expect the pet to be destroyed permenatly.

What these people do with looting they do daily.
