Greetings fellow citizens of Britannia!
I've casually played UO off an on since The Second Age, but never really lasted more than a few months at a time. I've always found the sandbox style of the game to be part of its appeal, but at the same time found it to be overwhelming for new players. Sure, I've thought about joining an existing guild... but one of the things I wanted to avoid is having the experienced spoiled for me (as in giving me money, gear, etc. etc. to accelerate skill gain). I think that sometimes, a good intentioned veteran player might not realize that it's the journey not the destination that is what's fun!
Anyways, with that thought in mind... I wanted to reach out here on the forums to see if there were any other new players who might be interested in forming a guild of noobs. (obviously we wouldn't call ourselves that) ; )
The guild name would be settled upon later, but here's the kind of guild I was considering forming:
Basically, I'm just looking to form a small guild of online friends... maybe 3 to 10 members who want to play UO to enjoy and explore Britannia and all of it's mysteries. This should be more important than skill advancement or gaining loot or gold. Power gamers need not apply. Or - if you already know all of UO's ins and outs, this wouldn't be the guild for you.
If I can round up 3 or more new citizens of Britannia who would be interested in exploring all that UO has to offer with others who are equally new to the game, I'll get us a Ventrillo server setup and we can meet and start to plan our first adventures. If this effort is successful, I'd also setup a guild site.
Our play style would focus on exploration, PVE, questing, participating in events, helping each other master our skills, and having fun! If you interested... reply and let me know!

The guild name would be settled upon later, but here's the kind of guild I was considering forming:
- Members would be teens to adults (age doesn't matter, so much as the player is mature)
- English speaking (we're all in the midwest, aren't we?)
- Respectful players only (no one with ridiculous or rude character names)
- PVE only
- Any template / skills welcome
- You don't have to have a "Young" account to join the guild
- Preferably, your character is a Journeyman or lower at least in your primary skill
- Need before greed when it comes to loot.
- Overall, you're new to Britannia and want to explore!
- Not really a roleplaying guild, but if RPers apply.. I'm game for that
- Must be interested in Ultima lore (previous experience with Ultima games not required)
- Platform and client agnostic (Linux, Windows, OS X all good - classic or enhanced)
