OMG HONESTY...i almost gave up!

I am excited tho, I stuck to it and finally knighted it! Really was EXTREMELY Time consuming and frustrating!!! Who else has manged to do this??? Name and shard Do we know how it decays or how its even used? I tried to compare prices to someone that had nothing in honesty (before I knighted it) and there wasn't a difference Plz if you know stuff share!!~!!

AFAIK the prices stay the same and you will only see the discount AFTER the purchase.

I tend to run a fair chunk of the virtues on my 'main', including Justice if I have a reason to protect at spawns (getting Justice is kinda messed up these days if you're in a faction spawning guild though.)

But either I'm missing something or this new virtue is kinda.... not one I'd be putting the time into? Seems like it would have to be a RP thing, or, I don't know, valid somewhere where that kind of small-ish savings in that situation is a big deal? And I can't think of anywhere offhand that would be like that.

this. I only do sacrifice (which I've done for Years) and a little honor, about to give up on those too. One more thing to not do any more in UO, negative thanks Devs.

Delores on Siege. It seems like not much savings and time to get it back again...but buying a lot of items at high cost can save. I got 999 amber I think at 104 each and saved 13k. It dropped me down 3 dots. I had been making rune books eariler in the day and had bought a bunch of runes saving there, so not sure how far down it was. I did get it back up again and went 14 items over but no message saying I couldnt add more honesty on. Valor it says you cant go an further in that virtue.

I just enjoy having the virtues, although both Compassion and Sacrifice have come in useful at events

Can't for the life of me get Honour any higher though...

I finally reached knight yesterday on Sonoma. I have to say it is THE most frustrating and time consuming virtue yet and I have been maintaining compassion, sacrifice, valor and honor (although I could never get to knight of honor and now it is decaying *frowns*) from the beginning.

Anyway I persevered because I am a paladin and that what we do *laughs* and finally made it to knight of honesty. After which I immediately went out and bought 1000 lobster traps and lost 4 dots! *frowns* I saved about 24k on the first 500 and only about 15k on the second 500.

I know I will be maintaining it anyway but in terms of usefulness, I am not so sure it is worth the time and frustration.

Anyone know if the numbers of dots it drops is based on number of purchases, or the gold price of what you are buying? I am doing it to drop the cost of saltpeter down but since 100 rounds of heavy cannon fire takes 3000 saltpeter that's six purchases for every set of 100 shots I make.

Yeah, I heard it is basically worthless given as time consuming it is to build it up and fast to go away........

Much better to spend that build up time doing else hunting and gathering way, but way much more gold that short lived cheaper prices give when buying from NPCs.......

That is sad, though, that so much time gone into design and coding lays basically useless because it is not worth the time to players....... This design and coding time could have been spent on something else more worth to players.......

Oh well.........

I knighted it but it's a waste of time - 2 weeks for a 25k discount and 5 lost dots - i'm just gonna have it at knight now just to look at it because it's a nice color blue - it's completely useless for anything else - whoever the moron at EA was that decided virtues should decay with use should be fired because they obviously don't play the game and don't have a clue

Well I'm hoping they do change something about this virtue...I am a well as my friends say a virtue w*ore. I like my pretty symbols I do love Sacrifice and compassion. Honor is def useful Oh and for the one that couldn't knight Honor...if you are on a mage, i've never been able to either...but on a dexer or archer type toon just go honor thrashers in blighted grove

*nods* I'd put honesty up with compassion and justice now as being useless due to the new decay system. (well, not "useless" but the reward for working them is so pathetic you could easily get the same 100x over if you didnt waste the massive amount of time working them)

Shouldn't have to spend weeks working a virtue to use it 3 times and save the amount of gold you can get in 5 minutes off ettins......
