Hello everyone, just a whimsical post this; but today I settled down with a collection of Paragon Chests I'd picked up over the years, to start training Forensics in preparation for the coming Honesty patch... a skill most of us I am sure have never bothered with. What would be the point?
And you know, when I first started playing, I longed for a Singing Ball. In my dreams, it constantly sang out, so I wanted to sit and listen to it, on the balcony of the villa I would one day get too, as it sang a tale of far off lands and strange creatures and lost items. I have one now; and it sings not unless you run up and down besides it.
But today, I sat with my paragon boxes, and I finally got close to the nature of that experience at least. There's something strangely romantic about finding out the names of the people who originally opened each box. I wonder who they were? Where in Ilshenar did they find each box, and why did they stop and loot a Paragon Mongbat in the first place? Were they farming the boxes? I wonder if the name on the chest is the person who found it... what did you look like, fellow adventurer?
And perhaps we'll never know; but so far, I just wanted to say that, with the redesign of Honesty, the following names have at least been subtly remembered where ever you are now...
Orodreth Taralom,
Morven Lynch,
Ohrian D'Aniva,
Gryf,
Harrison Jones,
And some of my own Treasure Hunter, Sam Slade... I wonder how far his name has quietly survived, with the chests I have opened for others? Ever wondered, dear reader, where else your name may be quietly kept?
