Shield Transfer Tokens ??

Among the upcoming anticipations, Shield Transfer Tokens have been named.

I have read several guesses of what they may be for, from replacing altogether the existing Transfer Tokens, to being new tokens, cheaper to obtain, in addition to the existing ones, perhaps to aid the transfer of characters to other shards to participate in Arenas (that is, for cross-shards contests...) etc.

As of now, of course, it is all guessing.

Is it possible to let us know what they are meant to be for ?

Popps... it's from a "spoiler's thread". This is someone who looks in the coding to pick out things that look interesting.

The Dev's know that players do this. They often build in things that never come into the game - or they build it in to look like one thing and then make a change right before publish to what it really is just to confuse and mislead people so that there can be some surprises... At this point - anything is pure speculation and all anyone can do is wait and see what really happens...

I understand, but I have one concern......

Remembering the problems lamented in the past by players transferring (we had transfers interrupted for a while because of issues....), I would not be surprised to learn that the current transfer tokens, because of bug issues too laborious to get fixed, might be more easily "scrapped" and new tokens issued to replace their function. The Shield Transfer Tokens, that is.......with new code, and a better working one.

If this was to be the case, as I mentioned in another thread, I have problems with the issue of pets needing to be stabled for the transfer because stabled pets cannot hold items and, usually, transfers need to move items.......

So, getting to know what really these Shield Transfer Tokens are all about could make us players better discuss about them and the way they will be intended to work, perhaps giving some advice to Developers in what we think, as players who actually play the game, and therefore live the problems on our shoulders when they arise in the game, could be the best way to design them..........

Well, if there is a destination (to) there got to also be a source (from).

I do not see how a transfer can end up somewhere without originating from anywhere in the first place.....

I have no idea what they are.

I do not care about them yet, for just that reason.

Speculation is pointless and a tad thick.

And yet we've had speculation, and a lot of it, from some pretty well-liked posters.

popps, the character transfer token already exists and works fine now. There is absolutely no reason for them to replace it or create a cheaper one. Plus, it's called a SHIELD transfer token. So going on that information it must be for transferring shields from shard to shard...stay tuned for tunic transfer token, helmet transfer token, leggings transfer token......

Yes, sarcasm there but there is a point to it. Speculation is pointless with such little information. Although I think we can disregard it being any kind of replacement for a character transfer token or a cheaper one (can't imagine EA doing that).

To be honest, a way to transfer a single item would be great, because right now Char transfer tokens are mainly used by arbitragist brokers to make tons of money out of normal players
