Something Smells Rotten in the Sewers

Knee deep in sewage, old man spike made his way through Britain’s sewers. This far in the sewers even the thief master’s domain did not extend. But, if there was anyone who knew his way around the sewers, it was him. As he foraged further, he was hit by a strong smell of rot.

While bad smells were not unusual given the location, this was different than anything he had ever experienced. Fighting an urge to emptying the contents of his stomach, he walked towards the direction it was coming from. His senses felt overwhelmed the closer he got to the source. He felt like he was swimming in a pool of the concoction of cod liver that old woman made him drink few days ago. No, this was much worse.

Turning a corner, his eyes were assaulted by a shining moongate. “Hmm, that should not be here.” Walking closer to it, forced to breathe through his mouth, he heard a strange noise……….. “uuunnnnnhhhh”………

Immediately, he knew that he was way over his head with this one. He had not grown old by not trusting his instincts or investigating strange noises. Turning around, he ran to report this mysterious moongate to the thiefmaster.

Note:

The Halloween event will start from 3:00 PM PST on Saturday. The event will happen on both Trammel and Felucca sides and a moongate will be made available from the Brit sewers. The event is a play on champion spawn. That is you have to slay initial rounds of spawn to get to the final boss. The spawns will occur twice on Saturday and Sunday each, and once on Monday 31st.

Tentative times for the spawns are:

3:00 PM PST
7:00 PM PST

Sunday:
3:00 PM PST
7:00 PM PST

Monday:
7:00 PM PST

More information regarding the location:

You will be able to take a gate to the spawn area from the Brit sewers in Trammel or Felucca. The Trammel gate will take you to a spawn area located in Trammel, and the Felucca gate will take you to the corresponding one in Felucca.

I really enjoyed this event. Granted, I was getting spanked, smacked, and backhanded by the "Friendly" ghosts (friendly my bum!) and hey, that's okay. After 14 blinkin' years playing this game, the most rewarding thing I've taken away from these types of events isn't the little e-teddy bear but the journey and experience itself. I guess arguing whether an event is "good" or "bad" is moot and it's just a matter of perspective and semantics. What is known is that we have EM's who took time to set this event up not only for Trammel but for Felucca as well.

My hats off to both EM Seppo and EM Godiva. I know sometimes, just sometimes, the position you're in can be thankless, but I assure you, you are very much appreciated at least by me, a monk who drinks a lot of sake, who tries to negotiate with succubi, and who has had a grand time in Sosaria. By the way, "Cheers to the Steel Phallus!"

I tried to find my way to the Fel one but got lost and gave up. There were probably a few expletive deleteds being used but when it was all over, I'm sure everyone had fun.

It was interesting. I could not attend them all due to time issues, however heard from friends it was crazy yet fun.

Some insanity on all parts but this is par tof the fun. Any event where people need to think, and work to achieve a good end is positive. Even the tram side was tough I was told(never made it there personally).


Event prizes were excellent and well thought out. Would love to see a pic posted of them since I never have yet.
