I would assume that these transfer shields are a different version of the Xfer tokens we have currently. In fact, I could also assume that these are for use on the Shard of the Dead server and could possibly allow you to xfer items from Shard of the Dead back to your home shard.

It isnt an Xfer Token, its 'server' transfer shield.

So you can x-shard to duel somebody else then back afterwards but not like a proper x-fer token (permanant move with items)

Not sure I like the idea of being able to remove curses from the new Dungeon Arties with Clean Up points. I think the curses should remain fixed IMHO.

I hope the devs rethink this idea a bit if it is still on the table, and if I am reading correctly.

The new "shields" for transfers (note there are no "shields," only "symbols" for Siege and Mugen) could signal an overhaul to the shard transfer system. Perhaps the boxes with combination locks are a part of the new system and are a way to overcome problems folks have had with transferring loaded pack animals.

A sort of server transfer without moving a boatload of items may in fact have a valid application. But it's not quite the place or time to speculate the likes or dislikes before the usages/system-behind-these-things is apparrent.

Betcha that points cost is a tad high.

It would encourage people to throw stuff away like crazy in order to, maybe one day, get that perfect and amazing weapon with that one curse that really just needs to come off.

I wonder if using specialized containers with combination locks for moving items in a character transfer would also let EA more easily impose restrictions on what could be transferred from a shard than is possible now when you just plop extra stuff in a pack animal for a transfer. Seems like it would be easier to build filters to prevent you from dropping certain types of items in an entirely new and specialized kind of container than try to figure out how to apply filters to pack animals that can be used in many types of situations.

If the combination lock containers don't have a time limit on how quickly you have to empty them, they would also be a nice addition to bank box storage if you want to visit another shard for a while without placing a house.

Hopefully we'll hear something soon about both the shields/symbols and the strange boxes.

Therefore, at least as I see it, raising up the issue before it actually "might" become a problem to any player, perhaps might save a few headaches to players..........

You're not preventing problems popps, you're inventing them. There is absolutely no information about said item other than a name for it and a brief reference. You appear to have also assumed these functioning exactly like an existing item, the character transfer token, without even a thought of why on earth we would need another item that does the same thing. Your post represents the very problem some people have with these spoilers; complaing before taking even a brief time to stop and ask about something so you can at least gain some sort of understanding. It's like complaining about the story line of a book without even bothering to read the synopsis. Except in this case we don't even have a synopsis, all of have is an incredibly vague reference to an item where your problem is invented off of the single word "transfer."
