Want to add magic resist to my rp-pvp swordsman. Would you keep chivalry or bushido and why?
Depends on your faster casting / recovery and if you have parry as well.Want to add magic resist to my rp-pvp swordsman. Would you keep chivalry or bushido and why?
I am pretty experienced with both. And have all the equipment to make either one effective. I think this char has had bushi and chiv since Samurai Empire came out. I would just like to hear some different points of view before I make my ultimate decision.I would say it depends a lot on how practiced you are with each. Chiv can be awsome with the FC/FCR if you can use it. Bushido can be useful with the stances. Its kind of a toss up as I don't view either as all that impressive in pvp but for me Chiv has the edge as I hate having to constantly rely on pots and the ability to dispel summons.
Is that just because of the pot thing?Well my own personal opinion is that chiv is better for pvp then bush, but that is just my own bias.
Really depends on other skills, but did you give any thought to going 120 bush, 60 parry, 60 chiv?
20% parry chance with 1 handed weapon, all the benefits of bush stances, confidence. And 4/6 chiv heals.
parry would be useless without bushido unless you hold a shield, and if you do bushido isnt doing you much good..
so shield or no shield?
I just hit 52 in it yesterday. So I havent even gotten the char up to the word of death point. But I am loving it so far.I actually like spellweaving if you don't have any mana issues with it. It has some nice spells that are usefull and it works pvp or pvm. Or it might just be that I think Word of Death is the most fun I have had.
Chiv/Weaving is fun stuff.I said I chose bushido in an earlier post. Which there in is my problem. Sitting at work I have been 100% positive I have wanted a chiv/weaver three times and a bushi/weaver three times just this afternoon. I could really use some other points of view before I get home.

yesLynk do you use eval on your mage ninja mystic?
yes, i listed the reasons why in that postWhat exactly do you mean by this? Is there anything you can point to?
I apologize if I am not getting it. But I don't see specifically where you mention having chivalry and weaving together.yes, i listed the reasons why in that post
Chiv front loads the damage because with weaving you will get your crazy insane damage at the end from WOD so I would prefer chiv weaving but they both work well. Of course with chiv you get huge benefits at 80 as opposed to bushido so you do have more points to put in the weaving which really help.
Oh you have too. Nothing has ever brought a smile to my face then seeing the insane amounts of damage caused by Word of Death.
