Now there are about 50 bless deeds on atlantic for 3 million each.

That is 70% of the cost. Not that I care beyond a cheat must be going on because that makes no sense to sell them that cheap.

I am still selling the actual point ticket items to turn in at 30% discount which means I get 7 million for every 10 million of turn in gold to points I sell.

Why wouldnt the people just do that verses turning in 100,000 points or 10 million gold to sell it at 70% off or 3 million.

A cheat. Another wasted event.

You don't have to tell me. I turned in tons of stuff I have been saving for years. All magic and inviz items, Moonstones, id wands, 6th anix bags, tons of xmas and snowglobes and i got like 10 mil points legit and emptied 3 houses of stuff. (well that was a good thing cause I am a bit of a horder.) And i got all the suits and a bunch of bless deeds and the cheaters pobably got way more than I and had to do nothing to get it. I still say turn back the clocks to before it started with an old back up file. I know thats not the answer for everyone but its the only one I can think of.

I had a chance to read this forum minutes before posts were removed, which gave me an understanding of what had happened. Like the above poster, my turn in items were basically the same, inviz items, wands, TONS of Xmas, however I had taken a leave from UO and did not have a ton of items. Everything I had was banked. However, I had banked the some of the best items for the turn in event. Was able to get mage suits and jewls again. The other thing I did was purchase a transfer token for the sole purpose of turn in items. With a revert I probably would lose my RL money.

With that said, if EA decided it would be for the betterment of the game to revert I'd support it. As days pass, a revert would look less appealing. So, in my opinion there is nothing EA, players can do other than to continue playing as if this never happened. Honestly, I would not expect any DEV to foresee this "situation". It simply made the DEVs smarter. Learning Lessons. There is one positive thing that could come out of this. A nice reward for those that contacted proper EA authorities and informed them of this 'situation'. Should we be talking about a workable reward system instead of something we can do nothing about? There are some great posters on stratics, and I believe stratics would help with a good route for this. Can anyone else understand what I'm trying to say and explain it better?

Players coming up with a system. EA reward player that benefit the game.

I'm pretty glad it happened. Now i can stock up on bless deeds cheap and have full suits blessed especially on mules which i tend to carry little to no gold on.

What i'm seeing here are some people complaining about not being able to get a lot of money from items that were given to begin with as opposed to cheaters that don't want as much as much money for something that was free for them as well.

Gotta ask yourself who the REAL greedy people are in this game? From resources to now this, looks like cheaters WANT people to play by providing items at a low price where the honest player wants to jack the prices...

Right right. It has to do with people being greedy and not with the fact that people are cheating and breaking rules in this game and in essence ruining it for honest players who worked hard just to get them for their own use. /sarcasm

Get over yourself.

Not sure if this be against the TOS but here goes...
I saw hundreds of these items in the Cavern of Discarded immediately after the server fix, and wondered why so many were discarded until I read on Stratics about the exploit fix.

Apparently the exploiters hadn't read about it and were continuing to drop them in the trash! :mf_prop:

When I first started seeing people selling them for 7 or so mil, i thought 'whatever, its a bless deed.. thats valuable. Prolly takes alot of turnins to get.'

Then I started turning stuff in. The bless deed is only 100,000 points. I was amazed how fast I was racking up points just from getting rid of the crap i'd been warehousing for years. I turned in a couple mil or so worth of points without breakin' a sweat.

Now. To see 50 deeds at 3 mil a pop.. that would imply a truly impressive amount of turnins. Duping? Doubtfull. Personally if I had 50 bless deeds I wouldn't sell them, i would bless alot of gear. but w/e.

It's odd, but I wouldn't call it duping.

Now, 500 deeds at 1 mil a pop - that'd be duping. Kindof like when people have 2-300k relic frags on a vendor(you know who you are). Oubvious duping.

This is the most ridiculous comment I have ever read.

The exploit was basically a way to massively dupe the turn ins. So what you are saying is that duping is good because it allows you to own items you were not able or willing to afford.

With that kind of logic you have a great career awaiting for you counterfeiting money IRL.
Now of course, IRL you will end up in Jail. One wonders why... it's probably the fault of the greedy people who don't understand your great economical theories and moral values.

Everybody keeps on calling it a dupe or an exploit, it was neither, it was using ingame mechanics as they are supposed to be used, Was it against what the game is supposed to be about, probably, but nobody broke any rules by doing it. I knew about it probably 12 - 24 hours before it was sorted but didnt do it because it didnt feel right. I currently have 10.2mil points that i got legitamately and i am a bit peeved that the stuff i am going to get and probably sell isent worth quite so much, but what the heck, i managed to clear over 7000 items and dont need to run as many accounts now, so i will save in the long run :)

Somebody call 911 we need a WHAAMBULANCE!

Listen buddy, truely honest player are STILL turning things in for items THEY CAN USE and for keepsakes. Now newer players and players like myself have a reasonable shot at buying items for a decent price.

The ONLY thing i can see "ruined" are the scumbags that were dumping 13 years of *FREE* EA given trash to run around and rip average players off by reselling these items at a way high price.

Who needs to get over themselves? Greedy trammies looks like...

Right, if anything it sounds like you have no issue with people cheating, exploiting or breaking rules. While you seem to have little care about a broken system rest assured many other people do care. Not every issue people have has to do with greed. Maybe you need to stop for a second and realize that.

..and anyone that compares a 14yo video game to RL is pretty creepy and disturbed.

Actually i don't have any issue with what other people do. It's a 14yo game and people have cheated since the begining. I do enjoy being able to find anything at anytime at a decent price. Especially since i just came back a few months ago with no items and no gold so it's making my return reasonable.

The difference is i play the game and don't worry about what anyone else does. If the rest of you would do the same you'd might actually have a little fun instead of sitting on here crying foul at every issue that doesn't go "according to plan". Why so serious?

Exploiters are not *******, they are not going to put gazillions of Bless Deeds on the market at the same time and at 1/100th of the price. If you see 50 deeds at 3 mil that's because many last minute exploiters are trying to get their share of the profit at the same time. But what you don't see if they don't even sell now.

Everybody keeps on calling it a dupe or an exploit, it was neither, it was using ingame mechanics as they are supposed to be used
Stop deluding yourself: the point value was for specific items, not endless copies of them, regardless of how you made the copies. It was a bug and exploiting a bug is called an exploit.

Thats kind of dumb. You only need bless deeds for jewels and metal armour and tallies and weps. Most suites are leather and cothing bless deeds only cost 4-500K and to spend even 2 mil for one deed you have to die like a million times if you bought enough bless deeds to bless all you stuff rather than just insure them. to make up the cost of all the bless deeds.

Actually... it is an exploit. Taking advantage of a bug in the game is exploiting. The intent of spring cleaning is to clean out long stored items - not to create them by the 1000's for turn in.

Not everyone is like you and you can't force you're ideas on others. History proves that, lol. Face the fact, you don't care but others do.
