Shortly after taking to the stage, the dancers skirts caught on fire. Kayne, being the only regular patron of the establishment known as "The Bank", thought this was a new act and shouted words of encouragement to the dancers hoping for some attention. Attention he got. The women, seeing the keg of beer Kayne was drinking from, lunged at him in hopes of putting out the flames...

"Hmmm..." thought Kayne. "Tis indeed a fine spectacle. First the flame, and now they are bathing in my ale. Tonight might be my night...."

It does seem to be something akin to when animals run away from an impending disaster zone all the NPC's are running onto tables or climbing trees and huts.

Perhaps you caught them in the middle of their regularly scheduled ophidian-invasion drill?

As you may know, the Arirang branch of Ye Olde Loan & Savings (the official name of the bank in Papua) is still infested with nasty ophidians. My roving reporter, with the help of her faithful boura companions, was able to capture this shot there tonight:

Methinks bank management is just taking extra precautions until the red ophidian threat has been completely eliminated from all branches!
