Was there every final word on the houses that had levels 5 and 6 built out of rubble on them?

Id like to do it to pass my boredom.

Don't know why it wouldn't be legal, though I don't see how you could do more than one extra floor with no roof.

Historically it hasn't been bannable, but GM's have been known to delete item made rooms/floors claiming that they cause too much lag.

The final ruling was that it is legal - with some exceptions.

If it inconveniences the homeowner behind by blocking house signs, vendors, ability to customize, etc. then it can be removed by a GM. It can also be a problem in high-lag areas.

Part of the problem is that many use rubble for walls and rubble pieces tend to be "always visible" even if you have not set foot in the house to load the items and this tends to block the house behind.

Yeah, my understanding from when the topic was hot, is that as long as it doesn't interfere with a neighbor its all good. Alone in Ter Mur would probably be okay, in Luna, no :p

It's not illegal per-say... If it causes negative gameplay effects for other players and they page, chances are the GMs will remove the gozas and you'll get a nice little email..... along with a 72 hour ban.

GM Spada told me in chat it didn't matter if it's legal or not (even if publicly stated legal by a Dev), It's if it generates a lot of 'trouble tickets'. so if you have a bunch of crybabies coming around, yeah, your stuff is going bye bye, 'you' might be ok, but your stuff, no

I have never used the table/book method so I am not sure. I just got a ladder from the heritage token - placed a castle ladder, climbed to the top, then placed the goza by targeting myself. Move the ladder and repeat as needed.

As with all things of this nature if someone pages and the wrong GM comes to see it then you have a problem. If there was a solid policy on it you might be safe. Of course if enough people page eventually it will get deleted. If UO is consistent in something it's in it's inconsistency.

I have a ton (literally) of these giant wall pieces, and I was going to customize the roof of my fel keep. It was huge, but it was just ugly so they went back in the box.

Maybe someday I'll figure out how to make it look better.

I am aware of two cases (Short suspensions) - both from before the developers made a decision on it - and both in Luna - one of which blocked the house just north across the road preventing that home owner from customizing and making vendor management very difficult.

I can see it being a problem if you cannot access your house sign.
