No. Ease of use would destroy the community that does not currently exist.

This is a problem for UO. So many things, and much of it has become a waste of time to sell because of the inflation of gold and power gaps.

I'd suggest a visit to the forum related to whatever you are looking for and asking.

The npc carpenters sell lutes and the other music instruments. The one in Britain is by the steps of the library just north of the palace gates.

If your playing on Chesapeake, my crafters can make nearly all the craftable items if I have the required materials. My house is just over the bridge south of Luna's south gate, the yellow stone one owned by Tanivar. Drop a book telling me what you want in the mailbox. My three crafters also monitor a chat group called Shaman's Crafting. You send a message with it using comma space your message.

A big part of that problem is that 'everyone' has a maxed out crafter these days so the little stuff just aint worth putting on a vendor as it'll be their this time next year. exception of a few items like recalls, apples, petals, ect.

The craft part of UO died a LONG time ago. (AoS killed that off)
Now its only new and exciting when a new skill is released....well for a couple of months atleaste.
Imbuing was the last big thing (Dev's raved about it at the time and ignored ALL the comment's on how it will ruin the craft market) and even that's died allready cos everyone thats wants it, has it.
Those that don't, probably never use the stuff anyway.

The only real part of crafting still left alive is Gathering and that's only cos peeps have so much gold they can't be bothered gathering it for themselves.

i think it's ok as long as you don't mention the names, or their url's. I think the couple broke up 'cause she posted on here.
makes shopping just another grind

I have to disagree. What killed crafting was the ease of scripting which lead to everyone having a mule craft character.

I guess you are already aware of the search sites, and they just don't work right now..

If not:
Since the stratics police will kill our posts when we mention a website or two that have kept the community afloat for the last 10 years by supporting exactly the functionality you are querying, you will have to ask someone in game what website they use to search vendors.

Everyone I have ever met in game uses these search sites and they are essentially supported by UO since no action has ever been taken by the devs against them, yet they blatently and openly perform their actions and business, in support of this game. No preaching of ToS will change this fact. The alternative is not bad, just impractical. Go click on all vendors you see....

So, without further due, just go to general chat of any shard of your choice and repeat your question. If I am on, i will answer you there... if I have the item you want, I will sell it to you.

and they usually take a day or so to come back online after a publish or server update... so patience will solve your problem as well...

This is the issue and only a short term solution offered we need these types of things added to the game not eye candy and such !!

I'm all for a way to catalog and search vendors, but we cannot condone discussion of one that uses rule-breaking methods to support itself. You call us police, but we do this voluntarily, because we are just as compassionate (or more than) as most of the posters on these forums.

This concludes my pre-coffee rant. Carry on.

I think I agree with this. I never had any crafters before AoS. Now I can make almost anything I need. Buying stuff used to be fun for me.. I had my favorite vendors, crafters, and so forth. NuSair says that scripting a crafter is makes it easy for people to make them, and this may be so. However I never really looked for "easy". Myself and many others I know of worked our crafters the old way.. In fact my smith just made GrandMaster after 8 years.

I have 2 crafting characters. I don't script anything. Sure I use Macros but the ones provided by the classic client and I go mine/lumberjack or whatever myself. Nothing wrong with playing a crafter you just have to know how to spend some of the more boring moments.

Like Ludes, after about 4 years I finally GM'd Tinkering despite having worked smithy to 105 carpentry to GM and various other craft skills
