Unlinking accounts - spoke to customer service...

Hi,

just letting everyone know that I spoke to customer service and they are the only ones who can unlink an account from 1 email to another but are not capable of unlinking it completely.

I was given a WARNING that I may lose items, objects, download content, stats etc... due to this transfer lol!!!

What the heck are they talking about?

and what does 'completely' mean? sounds dangerous, I wouldn't trust it.

Sounds to me them saying COMPLETLY still has a way of them tracking accounts that multiple people have.

I called & tried this last week. I called to have a single UO account unlinked. What the rep did was change my EA Account email for that account... which changed the email address for all the game accounts under that EA Account... thus changing my EA Account login. That was not what I wanted.

If you call and ask for an account to be unlinked and the rep asks for the new email address, beware!

Now we know why zynga games are so popular - so if they lose their stuff, they can say "Oh well, it was a crappy game anyways."
WoW has acct backup/restore service available.
Warhammer has Item Restoration (oopsie recovery)
Blizzard has account recovery

Maybe that "NEW GUY", will move us forward from the stagnation we've been in.
