Is it time for a Soulstone change?

As per title.

Now that accounts are bound under one main account surely that means that the soulstones can have a change applied that allows any UO account bound to the EA/Origin master account to use it and transfer skills around.

Given the amount of players these days that have more than one account I really don't see it as an issue.
I can understand previously when there wasn't a way to see if the accounts were owned by the same person but now they are linked surely that negates the issue?

As someone with a ton of soulstones - I'd have to say No. This would open the door to selling skills using unlink/relink accounts to transfer GM and 120 skills. Personally - I don't want to see that.

My only request for soulstones is to be able to transfer blank soulstones between accounts. I am fine not being able to move skills between accounts, but if I have 10 soulstones and 3 accounts, why can't I transfer an empty one between accounts? In addition, why not be able to use blank soul stones found at IDOCs, etc.

Changing their(soulstone) COLOR ... meh! maybe ... no harm, no foul; paint all you can.

I have never understood the "account bound" premise for soulstones. I sell pets and items and everything else why not skill. Its beyond me really. The only thing worth noting is the skill "grind" is spread out over time to accommodate EA with sub time. In theory thats the basic design. SkillXtime+contentXtime=paid sub-time. Trading skills well that breaks the basic design in theory but in practice I bet it sells more!

Isn't it wonderful? MMORPGs are all about the RL cash. It's become sort of like voluntary sweat shop work.

Yeah, I wonder about this also. I have two accounts tied to my email address. Mine and my sons acct. He already has a 24 hour ban and another supposed "harsh warning" flagged on his acct. I definately would be up for having his unlinked from mine.

Agreed, but grinding would be the least of the problems. If you think illegal programs and afk training are bad now, it would just be the tip of the iceberg if soulstones were not account bound.

I can see the OP's point tho for folks with more than one account it would be beneficial I guess, but it would start to open a crack in the door that I think should remain closed and locked.

Actually this was one area I hadn't thought of and does open somewhat a huge flaw in the suggestion

I didn't actually mean for them to be account independant. What I meant was in someway tied to the master account so they could be used on all linked UO accounts.

Keep selling that line. The inflation and added cheating for the money has screwed this game's economy royally.

True. But I read somewhere about EA/Mythic charging like $30 for the unlink - relink thing. So I am guessing those at Corporate who's job it is to only watch the bottom line would be up for the idea lol.

Personally I prefer the idea that the Europa community went for, soulstones that fell in idoc's are given over to the Soulstone graveyard and kept for people to go and see if theirs is there so that they can get them back should they return to the game.

Iam for soulstone trading, buying 120 Magery with Powerscroll 65 million! But no problem for me.
