Cheapsuit one shotting everyone when the axe of the heavens first came out?

Shard war when everyone would goto the Brit GY and have a free for all?

Pre Trammel?

When Safe Haven was only an 8 X 8 house at the crossroads?

When tamers would carry five WW around with them?

When the WW was actually the best pet?

The mirror image exploit?

When Delucia was a hot spot of PvP activity?

When you couldnt leave the safety of town without getting PK'd?

When a thief could disarm you then steal your weapon?

When your bank could only hold 425 stones?

Your first few days in the game when you tried to pick every little thing up and thought you actually had something?

The boat battles when the black rock event was in full swing?



I keep thinking about trying the game again but when it comes time to, I just cant stomach the thought of it.

Just curious though, when it is prime time at night, how many players are out around Luna fighting nowadays? Or is Luna still a PvP spot?

Trying to pat yourself on the back for a exploit that lost lots and lots of people, based soley on YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

My opinion is you are not wanting to come back and those of us STILL PAYING AND PLAYING and REMEMBER YOU don't want you to come back.

If youll notice HAHA/Gerbiler/Wavace, not one person is offering you a place in UO or responding too your "Count the memories of Grief" posts you (repeatedly) make.

Lets see if Puffy, Elmer, and your other KOC family backs up yur awesome gameplay style. (We know they don't play but live in the memories of PvP boardtalk.)

BTW thanks for stating the 5 WW in tow tamers oldshool. Adds even more credience to the awesome speechs from people like you about how overpowered 1 G drag in tow really is.

I wasn't on Siege for alot of these things but I can certainly recall alot of similar events on Atlantic

I'm not sure if the thrill was more because the game was new or just because of the gamestyle and volume of player population. People seemed to actually play UO then...forage, hunt, pk, steal or mine. The community seemed richer with more interaction. I actually missed the time that the majority of people lived out of their bank box or small house. People met at the bank, got to know each other, developed rivalry, hatred or friendship with each other.

Its not the same bro and leave the crafter run shard the way they want it. They now battle for vendor spots with smiting hammers. Argue over who got the best house spot with a land mass to suport tens of millions when only ten play. Stealth around and act like its PvP. And pancake when someone actually kills them mining or something. While arguing about whos prices are higher on which vendor shop, and filtering everything someone sais on the hopes to drive more action away from the shard....thats the simple reality of it now...forget it....

P.S. Still love you Wavace. I remember the good time killing 8 TnT/BG when we were both mages and chugging refresh pots just to make it back to brooks to unload loot we were so overloaded....best PvP night I have ever had...everything just seemed to flow perfectly...remember that?.....lol

Another is when the sherry the mouse event happened at LB castle and we fought off most of the shard. I think we had TnT on our side that night.

There are new monsters, new items, actually alot of new items. The templates are so different now 2 characters same skills but use different items totally changes templates

I can sum up in one word what ruined Ultima Online for me. Imbuing. Took any fun that was left in monster hunting and crushed with one swift, violent blow.

there are plenty of reasons people quit, there are many reasons i sometimes think about it too, but simple fact is that i still enjoy playing the items that can be imbued are nice but you can still find better with monster loot rare'er yes, waste of time for some yes agian but still possible. and the high end stuff thats junk are made into relics .

arties are still way better then imbued which i find easy to get just gotta go spend the time to get em

come back to UO freesly there are still plenty of good times to be had
