New to Origin - Just Returned to UO

Hello everyone!

I just started playing UO again after not playing for many years. I've decided to play on Origin and wanted to say hello. So much has changed since I've played last.

Are there any guilds that are interested in recruiting new players? I'm not looking for any handouts - just some people to talk to and play with.

I've made a bard/mage type character and having a good time so far, mostly training in New Haven. My character's name is Storm.

Maybe I should re-evaluate my shard choices. No responses to this yet and I hardly see anyone around at all. Maybe 3-5 people in Luna tops. Is this the norm?

Origin has died down quite a bit, sadly. I just returned myself not too long ago, and even though there aren't many ppl here, it's still my home.

If you ever need any help or anything just hollar for me in General Chat.

Welcome to Origin, sorry for not saying anything sooner but rl does interfer. There are a few good guilds that like helping people, new to the game or returning. I am with the Knights of Knowledge and if you tell me when you normally are on I can try and log at that time to help you get set back up.

I'm usually on in the evenings. I've been hanging out in New Haven trying to get my skills up. My character's name is Storm.

I don't want any handouts at all. I know that may sound weird but I want to take it slow and earn/make everything I have, at least for awhile.

It's a lot of fun this way. I've gotten my inscription over 50 and got the spellbook from the inscription quest and then went to kill some liches in the forest near yew (dying quite a few times) for spell scrolls to try and fill my spellbook.

Not weird at all, that's how Origin was when it first went live.

Glad to see some of that *originality* back on the shard!

I understand that approach my wife and had help for some of the basics but the biggest thing was finding a guild of great people to play with. I have only one fully Gm'd Character, Frey, and my alts are still along way from that. Hopefully I will see you on Origin or my wife "the Brat" will.

XMG is always looking for new members, we do some spawns, in fel and in the abyss. We also go fishing and do pirate quests, look up Gunner, Fish or any XMG member. We require you to have ventrillo so we can chat. All skills are appricated and we are deicated to helping fellow guildmates and anyone else.

Howdy Origin.....I have a ton of holiday items and 33 14th tickets for trade on this shard....any of you have anything on the Pacific shard for cross shard trading? Im on the safe trading list on Stratics and have been trading for years. My ICQ # is 499-699-548 if anyone is interested in trading. Thanks :)

I'm trying to fill a spellbook from just killing monsters. Does anyone know where 8th level spell scrolls drop?

Um....I honestly don't remember, I think so though...but aside from the Meer Eternals the only other monsters that drop those are Doom monsters and tentacles of the harrower I think.
