They turn on the event from a few years ago that gave you the crystals. Man, that would upset some and please others wouldn't it?
Personally I'd like to see one of the following:
- Zombie Apocalypse - Hordes of zombies spawn and turn the townsfolk into zombies, creating more zombies!!!! I do love me some zombies!
- Ghost Town - All players get turned into a ghost with the ability to affect some things in game. We would have to find a way to communicate (probably via healers) and discover a way to do a mass ressurection.
- Headless Horsemen and Wild Hunts - These peerless villains could spawn on the roads and in the forests. You get caught, and you had better hope you have your friends with you!

I've never been part of a Halloween event, but I'd like to see a good one!
Really? I thought it was so 'Dullahan'.... The fact that WoW uses something doesn't mean that it has to operate in the same way or have the same plot line.... I was certainly not expecting to have everyone put out fires with buckets of water in order to hopefully receive a rare drop.Headless horsemen is so WOW ... WTH come up with new
Hmm what I would like to see for Halloween...
1 - Increased activity in the graveyards (Inlcuding stepping up the levels of the spawn) and maybe set it as a 'mini' champ spawn with a big boss to kill and loot. Special loot that while it shouldnt have any functional use (Apart from being used to kill another Halloween random/boss) could be tied to the character its awarded too (Using the same rewards system of either Doom or Champs) something like a deed that can personalise a peice of clothing (Like what you get from EM events).
2 - Random zombie invasions of Luna. Might even get people back to WBB!
3 - Ghost ship on the high seas. Defeating it results in a 'demon' aquatic spawn that drops like point 1 with the deco only (but unique) items.
4 - NPC's that offer rewards for the destruction of Vampires in certain locations (Using the T-map system maybe?)
5 - Umbra becoming the land of the dead with random doomish spawns (Dropping doom arties)
Theres loads more I could continue on with but I think that's a good 5 pickings!

If it hasn't happened by now guys, I'm not sure it ever will.
I'm pretty sure we've tried everything in the book by this point.

do a copy of the turkey to headless horseman. he could even have the same stats and powers just a different graphic (the sonic yell is a death scream)
then maybe just change the nest to a little tomb (grave) looking graphics.

I like the headless horseman idea! Or tweak it abit and we have to win his head from another deadly character!
In a mad scientist twist on things,I would like to see some items made available for a lab setting. Also maybe a rare seed drop from begging that would grow an animated corpser/whipping vine that would be house deco.

Ah good idea here, a seed where we grow an animated corpser. Also would be nice to have the ability to grow pumpkins - maybe even only growable during late september and october.
Also like the idea of some roaming zombies not just in towns but maybe those random little gravestones you usually find amongst trees could spawn zombies.
Umbra being full of necromancers should be used to good effect this time of year with undead rising from within its walls - also it does have Bedlam under the city (What was that? you completely forgot that bedlam existed?)

Personally I'd like to see vampires! We never really had anything of the sort before aside from the necromancy spell. At least not that I can recall.
I have heard no rumors and have no speculation.
I will, say, though, something undeniably true: No matter what they do, at least one-third of us will despise it.

Surely its more than a third?
The thing is we have played long enough to know it will be a mob whose HP is 35k. Or a rehued mob from a previous halloween. Or just plain boring.
I actually regret the fact I missed the halloween event that brought about the bloody sash as the item itself is pretty cool

Love this one with the new poison changes a few dozen rotting corpses in a concentrated area could be very deadly!

I remember there being headless horsemen armor in game at some point.
from patch notes, the halloween stuff is already in and ready.

over a month long event too, so could be something great (all shard event like old days) or could be lame (shard by shard EM events) Nothing against the EMs but the events that run all day seem to be best that way everyone can get a chance to do it.
Trick or treating im sure will return, hopefully with new begging rewards and nifty deco. (wolf statue to offset the loud cat statues hehe)
Maybe something less cliche than zombies and vampires, like horrific mutations caused by the Defiler that must be exterminated. The only way to cleanse the land is to find Inu the crone and have her do alil dance

We had the Grim Reaper dropping his scythe and cursed doom arties...once he targeted you...that was it. I remember every hour someone gating him to luna to a waiting crowd.
Man that was fun...simple yet a lot of fun.
next year was the mag invasion....which was fun as well....then we started getting into quests over the following years....which are ok....until they become a grind and too time consuming.
but i really loved that 2006 stuff.

Having never been a fan of luna I can't say I hate this idea. However no more abyss monsters. Between abyss monsters and shadowlord related stuff thats all we've had since about 2007

Really? So you and all your guildmates destroyed all your runebooks and refused to use the recall spell? You walk/ride your mount and you actually hang out there now?
I think that if you want people to come to a place, you should go there and hang out. Maybe send and invite to your friends on ICQ or whatever and let them know that this is your/your guilds new meeting place, or even that you can be found there on any given day.
You have to use it for others to use it too. Set an example!

If it were only that easy. My main town and banking area has always been Haven/New Haven. I used to go to WBB when selling something or to see what was happening but it was always the same picture. I don't go into luna unless im looking for stuff on vendors or using the moongate
I hang out in Trinsic or Minoc mostly; Yew only when I need to do the elven crafting quests. WBB is like a hive of activity compared to my favorite towns....
Ooo! There's a halloween idea. Take all the old cancelled accounts, activate them and have the characters become Killer Brain Eating Zombies. With all their skill and best equipment in hand, that would be one hell of a challenge!
I love that idea....probalby wont happen, but it would be entertaining as hell

Luna's been invaded before, no effect because they have Dev protection.
besides, it's too late now, they can't go back. Housing should never be permitted in guard zones (imo). Think of it as just another FAIL

The redesign of WBB was a failure because people had already stopped using it and plus I don't know about Atlantic but Europa WBB looks horrible
As for removing Malas oh dear god no please don't my house is in Malas and all 3 of my houses have been over the years. I don't want to move to Trammel or Ter Mur and definitely not to Fel.
Just only my idea to revive Britain Bank, but again, I dont really see it necessary at all as most people got used to Luna Bank already, but anyways here goes:-
1. Moongate (trammel) must be linked directly to Britain Bank
2. Moongates to various establishment from Britain Bank (for example EM hall or whatever)
3. Player vendor system available around the Britain Bank (like a stall or whatever), can sell anything (same as the player run vendor houses); to get the stalls, one would have to complete quest from the stall owner NPC. This way we dont need to see who got the most money will be able to get the stall. One stall per account only.
4. Have special NPC appear in Britain bank and offer unknown quests. Quest reward ranges from gold to small chance of artifacts or resources (which depends difficulty); some NPC even will open gates to unknown places for players to fulfill unknown quests once it is accepted.
5. Provide a stablemaster stationed at Britain Bank
Perhaps only this will make people camp at Britain Bank because everyone would participate in #4 for sure.

I had a great deal of fun putting the werewolf together for you guys last year. This years fun is not a re-hued MOB! I had just as much fun putting this years surprise together for you as I did the Werewolf!Surely its more than a third?

OOOOO the suspense is killing me >.<
The werewolf looks awesome. I remember standing around for an hour until server down with people just looking at how they moved. It is a really fond memory. We also learned to always stable your dragon a bit before server up to be safe.

I don't have to act like I have endured Luna, I'm enduring it now and even for this short period of time, it's a noticable drag on the game.
Personally, I think an easy solution is to remove banks from everywhere except major towns in Britannia (Britain, Trinsic, Vesper, etc.) That would get people back into town.
Over the years that I have not been playing, it looks as though things became too easy and a lot of content is laying unused because of it.
It's sad and I think a good shake up is in order.

In any event, back to the topic at hand: I like the ghost ship, but I don't have a ship to go out and fight them with. Do they land or launch crews of ghost pirates onto shore?
You know what would also be really scary? Dead Magic for Halloween! No magic works in all of Britannia! Weapons and armor lose thier special properties. The moongates get hazy/wobbley and when you step through, you end up someplace random instead of choosing. Sometimes you might get stuck... between the moongates, in a weird ghostly zone with all kinds of phantom enemies to fight.... Magical flux! Scary especially since everyone is so dependent on magic. It would all be temporary of course, right?
I wouldn't mind seeing Gremlins or something invade as well, setting traps in town and stealing random stuff from peoples backpacks. Maybe popping up and paralyzing you right in the middle of a fight with an ogre or something. that would be kind of interesting as well!
