I will have a chat with some people and see what the thoughts are and contact you. I do remember a great little event called the Trade Caravan i think it was player run where certain players had an object (nothing special) but it had to be taken through felucca from Trinsic to Britian.
Again Thankyou for your response it humbles me to see willingness to make something of this game!
If there is an event rare, people will come, and if you make the event in fel, the event rare should be a useful one at that
@ PJay - The Trade Caravans were, indeed, a player-created scenario. They demonstrated the best that UO has to offer - no real reward, but simply "we will do this just for fun."
As someone with a blue defenceless member of HLP; with a blue PvP-capable friend of HLP; and quite a few reds; I played different roles during the expeditions: I ran like a coward, trying to to stay alive; I defended on a blue; I defended on a red; and I attacked on a red.
I got nothing from these events except quite a few murder counts, and one of Paidrics "quest items." But it was bloody good fun.
@ Mervyn - TBH, this demonstrates much of what I feel is wrong with UO today.
If the PvP community needs leet-item rewards to drag themselves away from killing Blazing; and do a bit of PvP with non-miner PvEers (who might decide that they actually like PvP, and so will add to the pool of Europa PvPers) then there is no future for Europa PvP.
You are dooming youselves to keep fighting the same individual battles over and over and over. (And then boasting about it on UCH, of course.)
The PvPers who got involved in the "silly pets storming Yew Gate" event, or the "naked PvEers attack PvPers" evening, or even the "official defence of Magincia" didn't get items; but they did a great deal to bridge the gaps between the "Trammies" and the "Fellies" That is worth more than items (IMHO)
