Honestly, the new look is something any amateur web designer could have thrown together in about an hour. Sorry, but it's true.

The hard work was copying old HTML articles into Wordpress.

I'm a tad confused, you want the old style which is what we kept in mind while it was designed but you want something newly designed with bells and whistles that a serious developer would have 'enhanced client-ed' to death?

Color me happy we found the happy medium. Love the updates, keep them coming!

I think you misunderstand what I was saying... the old look was far better, it looked like someone knew what they were doing when they were coding, the new look is worse... I'm not saying I want something all new. I'm just saying at least whoever coded it before did a better job.

My biggest gripe with the new look is the borders on tables.... this isn't 1998 afterall, and even back then web designers did what they could to either make the borders look better or hid them. And of course the top banner w/ the cloud background (which any photoshop newbie can make with ease) with the pasted in stratics and UO logos.
Sorry, it just annoys me a bit. Even though it may seem to be turning out that way, I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, I just wanted to state my distaste for it. I'm a critic, what can I say?

For a game like Ultima Online...the *classy classic* look and feel of Stratics is perfect.

UO isn't WoW, it isn't EVE, it isn't Warhammer..it's UO...UO is a classic game and the feel of Stratics flows well with that.

Not everyone is going to like it, I get that, and voicing your distaste of it is fine.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents in too

Of course this is coming from someone who now refuses to watch Sesame Street with her kids cus they RUINED the darn thing...new song, new look..me no likey I play them *classic* Sesame Street on Netflix

I haven't taken the time to check out the new Sesame Street... mostly because I'm not a child and don't have children of my own lol but I salute you for that.
Make sure ya load up some good ol' Reading Rainbow for them as well.

I'm sorry you don't like it, but it's been made to my vision. I can't make it to someone else's vision.
Find someone with more up-to date vision who's willing to take on the role of uoss managing editor, and all that involves, and I'll step down and make way for them to re-make the site in their vision.

You have put many hours into this site and deserve much credit for saving it from obscurity. Many of us like the "classic" look It's why we are still here. It feels like home.
