NICE BUG dont use home trash barrels

I put in 3 items into my trash barrel. Secured. Friends only. Only me.

2 plants and something else for 35000 points. Had to wait 3 minutes for it to decay. Went to Luna hung around 5 minutes.

Went to Brit. Says I have no points after 10 minutes.

Dropped 100k of items in Brit trash can and got all the points.

So... I wouldnt use your house trash barrel.

It appears to be that if you aren't in the house when it deletes, you don't get the points. I put items in and recalled to test it, and they didn't count, but they always did if I was at home.

I didnt get points either, and I was next to the trashcan the entire time. It's pretty lame, public cans don't destroy blessed items, so leave it to your house trash barrel to not give any points.

I didn't watch my items delete but stayed 3 minutes and more. Now I was outside the house tending a vendor at times.

Sooo.....

Just logged back in since the first post and still no points.

I have to say... nice jobs DEVS.

I can afford the lost... a lot of people can't.

Just put more stuff in your house trash barrel and wait next to it for the 3 minutes and you'll get all the points not only for those items you just trashed but also those trashed before when you didn't wait

It took me 40 minutes or so to receive credit on some home stuff. I was at the bank when it came in. A bunch of people told me to just wait, and they were right.

Of course, right or not thats the last thing I did there.

Or how about an instant delete option. Who feels like risking 50 things at once. Or standing there putting 1 item in at a time for 3 minutes times 50 items just to be safe.

I've done over a million points at home, standing next to my trash barrel and have had no issue whatsoever. Just wanted to put it out there that some of us are not having a problem.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones!

I went through the same thing. A message poped up abot 30 min later awarding me the points. But yes I think ill use the bank from here on out.

BUT ON A Lucky note. The above stuff was Atlantic, so I logged on to Pacific with my XSHARD player. She had 576001 points already on her. I dropped item in and it said 2500 for a rabbit but it didnt add to my total.


Well I spent it.

done close to that, since it's secure, me only, i dump in it and leave. or log in another char (in that case, i get my msg when that char logs back in).
I'm doing mostly mob loot now, so i'm in and out of the house a lot - no problem, just get the delay sometimes

Did over 6 million points worth, well over a thousand items, and didn't have any trouble using my home trash barrel.

So...

When you use the trash barrel in a house... stay next to the trash barrel. The only thing I can think I was doing was stepped off the steps to go to my side house vendors and that is when the items timed out.

It is safe to say you need to be in your house the whole time.

The sad news is, there isn't anything I want to buy with the points. Guess Ill just collect the suits.

This thread had me scared to use my trash at home, so I just lugged it all to Luna with my beetle, recall back and forth. Hope others aren't having the same issues.

I had the same issue with not getting points if I wasn't in the house at the time of deletion. There went approx 300k points for me as well.

I'm sorry to hear you did not receive your points; that just sucks. Maybe they will catch up at some point. I have been counting the points prior to trashing and its been right on. I've traded both single items as well as bags and/or chests without any problems.

This is what happened for me. I was sitting in my house later on not doing any donating and I received the points.

FYI put on 100 point item. It decayed. I didnt get my 35000. Sorry it is possible to lose your points if you walk off the house before it deletes.

It may have been coincidence, but I left the house and thought I'd lost points, but then tried putting a "fraction of a point" item in and waited the 3 minutes. I had to go afk, but when I came back my journal had the points from the first set of stuff listed after the "fraction" item decayed. It's possible that it kicked the points for the "lost" points into action, but I wasn't there to see it happen immediately after.
