I was bored and thinking what can I do to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.. I thought maybe some people out there {like myself} would like to be able to kill the mastermind behind the plan that killed thousands, even if only in pixel form. I went to a shard different from my home shard {full slots there}, created a noobie char named Bin Laden {which was allowed by EA}, I used my sons account to kill enough noobie blues to turn him red. Some seemed to really like it, or enjoy the rp killing of him. I took no stances on the political end, nor was I abusive in language, except for using Infidels and Jihad in order to annouce the location they would be able to kill the char.

There was one person who got highly offended by the whole thing. Even after explaining my reasoning behind the creation of the Char.

It is not my wish to offend, even in this thread, I am just trying to see what the general response would be to the outlined situation. I know we all have our own moral compass, I am trying to see if my compass it totally different than the masses OR if it's in line with the masses.

Which gets us right back to the discussion we were having the other day on the char named the R-word I ran across on Atlantic. As a casual player I am supposed to know the name of anyone the world over who have done those things listed above? If there are names that are against EA/Mythics TOS that fit the above criteria do they not have the responsibility to stop them from being created? But I know that is an even deeper subject and I don't want this to turn towards a bashing thread. Lord knows there are enough of those around these days.

And, no sorry I don't savvy on having a mod remove the poll seeing as how nothing in it is inflamatory nor against TOS for stratics. I am only asking a question of my fellow gamers to solicit their opinion is all.

Too much RL for UO and I think it would be offensive to some. If the guy wasn't already dead I would probably see less issue there. Then again I wasn't personally effected from 9/11.

H. Posting details of bugs and exploits in such a way that others are able to perform said bug or exploit is prohibited. I can understand that. I can't say I was personally effected by 9/11 it's self, I did know 2 people years ago that were lost in Tower One. And have lost a couple from the offensives in Iraq and Afghanistan, and one that is just now re-learning how to walk again after a year and a half of surgeries etc. That was where this whole idea sprung, from nothing but some small form of retribution.
