I need some help with forum searches.

1. Is search currently working? It seems to be broken for me. Searching for common terms is returning one or zero results for me. To see if it was working I searched the Warrior forum for sampire. I think I got one result, which can't be right.

2. Is there a way to search for a term? If i want to search for "lightning strike" but I do not want threads with "lightning" or "strike" only, can i do this? I tried boolean operators but it did not work. Suggestions?

likewise for me i tried over the past week to search the warrior forum for stuff like "Dread Horn, DH, Dark Father, Irk,etc"

Stratics search never works for me.

I just do a Google search with a uo prefix, this works great.

Try uo lighting strike this will give the results you want.

Google has a search operator that lets you only search a particular site. The syntax is:

"lightning strike" site:uo.stratics.com

That will search the main site, which you guys already have a google search box that works great already. I was able to substitute vboards for UO and search the boards. The search used to work fine for me on the boards.

If I remember correctly, the search system we were using was going a little squirrely (understatement).
Some tinkering was done, which fixed the squirreliness, but apparently broke the search (honestly, if it isn't working, it's broken). I'll make a little noise behind the scenes about this.

Silver-liningly, using Google to search the forums (adding site:vboards.stratics.com to the seach) is just better than the Vbulletin search is at the best of times.
