oh excellent!
cause i have a lottttttt............. a LOTTTTTTTTTTT of suits i need to put up for display.
my demon suits.
old one.
new one.
white one.
10 different colored ones from toko dyes.
3 different colored ones from the leather days.
1 sigil colored one.
then all the general invasion suits.... all the leather ones, ringmail ones and plate ones!
then there is the real in game suits....
grizzled and scout suit and all of those....
man on man, im gonna need like 50 of these things!
will be so nice to get all these suits out of the chests and actually out for display!
ALSO nice to see that they listened to the ideas we put forth about this for the last couple years!!!!!
(i think i should get a box of them for free for suggesting it!!!!)

It's nice that the devs listened to the players that wanted something to put suits on to display them. It's not so nice that they ignored the second part of the request about being able to see the total stats of the suit.
They basically just gave us vendors that can't sell anything.

ya know what they SHOULD do.
they should keep them the way they are, but allow us to rename them (so we can put what suit is on them)
then they should do like they did with the hitching post and house teleporters..... there should be a HIGH END one available from either a 14 year vet reward or to buy it from the store that TOTALISES the suit for ya!
(like they do on test with your toon but EVERYTHING from resists to stats to LRC and LMC ect ect ect)

Definitely need to be able to rename the mannequin!
I do like them better then using a vendor for the fact that you can now display armor and not have to make your house public because of using vendors though... but if you can't rename them, I probably will stick with vendors since you really need that for a good display. Still a lovely item and kickin' that they actually listened to what we want.
I missed that tapestry so thanks for posting it cause it is very pretty! I need to get my ducks in a row so I'll be ready to x-trade for all the deeds I will need!!!

I have 21 chars on Europa, and dummy chars set up on most other shards if someone wants to trade.
I have characters on Every shard ..... I am always willing to Xshard Trade... and if you are willing I'll add folk to my list of Trading friends and make as many characters as you need on whatever shard you like.... Save my own GL's.
But just PM me or whatever and I'll see how many I have on your shard.

YAY!! Finally we can put put all those suits of armor for the Wax museum and not spend a small fortune in Vendor fees!! Or worry about them falling if we forget to pay them. Also AWESOME for changing from PvM to PvP suits... I forsee a LOT of these in our future!!!
Edit: After testing more, hubby and I discovered that if you have a co-owner of your house that sets up a mannequin, If you re customize the house everything on the co owners mann pops into the owners pack, yes I understand most people don't just co-own anyone but I can also see where this could lead to problems. Just saying.

Has No use unless they make it workable by letting me see the stats.
This would make it a great tool for crafters!
To just display stuff... nehh
At least you can name a vendor " Easter Suit 2004 "
You can also customize a vendor more.
And who can't make enough gp quickly to pay for a house full of empty vendors for years at a time?
But, I still got last years reward tickets as I had no use for them.
It's tough to live in a house with no walls, ( looks like a Dock )
when the dev. keep wanting to give me stuff to hang on walls.

1. You can place them in a private house and not have to turn it public to use vendors.
2. You don't have to use up your available vendors to display armor so if you do want to also have vendors you can display your armor and not suck up your vendor slots. This would be good for placing vendors on steps for ease of shopping while still being able to place armor display where you want it independent of vendor placement.

I very much like the idea of being about to "rename" them. I still say I would like to be able to dye them somehow. Just saying...

Dying would be nice and hair of some kind. I wouldn't even care about changing the style or color if it came with a decent style and color but a chrome dome on a female just looks wrong!

The fact that on TC they have features that allow you to highlight yourself and see your HCI/DCI etc is EXACTLY what we want for the mannequins.
You should be able to highlight and see the full suit stats.
Now THAT would make it the best anny item ever. As it is - you are correct - vendors that can't sell.
