I have just murdered an innocent, stripped all the valuables off of his still bleeding corpse and am sheathing my blade when I see down the road a posse of 5... nay 8 ready to avenge this mans death. Some throwing objects, some casting spells, and others shooting arrows at me and my loyal steed.

I take off into the forest! I dodge trees, random gravestones and trolls! They are gaining on me! I must escape to live another day, my element of surprise being my best weapon against these foes!
My trusty steed keeping me just ahead of my pursuers when suddenly....

A little wren flies in front of my 1000 pound steed and stops him in his tracks! A swear word escapes my mouth as I negotiate around the little birdie (I just killed a man but not this birdie no way!) to continue. Dodging arrows and getting plagued by spells. Then a moment later a little bunny hops out of his hole and instead of trampling it like any loyal steed should... again my horse STOPS COLD!

Apparently, my evil steed is terrified of small animals.
I desire to teach my steed to trample small animals. It is what any good ravenous murderer would do!!

you are so right on the mark with this thread any critter of small sise except snakes and perhaps a few other things should get run down by mounts the whole stamina thing is pure bs when it comes to fel i can understand vs players and vs large monsters but bunnies and sparows OI. As to the person who said it does not become red ext ext read up on uo alignments karma transfers to pets if you get to -1000 karma your pet is the same just the way it is if your red as flutter said so is the pet pretty basic i would say.

Well, if we were to believe the elves, the natural world is very protective of it's creatures.

So perhaps the horse isn't frightened so much of the actual animal, but the strong feeling that it will be maimed by Mama Britannia herself if it steps on the stupid rabbit that won't get out of the way.

Of course one might ask the horse why the hell can't it jump over the stupid bunny, but perhaps it has aerophobia.
