I spent about 2 hours last night trying to find niter deposits in the abyss and illsh with a grand total of 0 collected. Any hot spots?

As for mining, there is a post in the crafter's forum asking about it. One of the devs stated that each first attempt to dig in an 8x8 resource grid has a chance to pop a niter deposit. As such, you would theoretically have the best luck just hitting once in a spot, then moving to the next spot in the grid until you hit a deposit. Each spot's chance to spawn a niter deposit resets every 5 min, I believe.

There is a method and you can mine up about 900 within a short period of time however I was slapped with a gag order :-( but I will say if you dont get the deposit by the second strike then move on to the next spot.

thx for the responses guys. I did try the 2-3 strikes grid technique with the result i posted. had 800 luck too : /
