Tropical Storm conditions aren't bad really. Been through a few now and unless a tree drops on your house or car, you'll pretty much be ok. Had it remained a Cat 3 and raked the eye up the coastline, yeah that would have been a REAL load of suck.

Just stay alert for any tornadic activity and be intelligent in your decisions (i.e. don't think that right now is the right time to go play in the creek) by just staying indoors and keeping on top of information, have an escape route or interior place set up in case of an offshoot tornado, and everyone should be fine.

Tropical Storm conditions aren't bad really. Been through a few now and unless a tree drops on your house or car, you'll pretty much be ok.

We're mostly concerned about flooding here on Long Island and with all the rain prior to this storm, it makes for a lot of up-rooting trees.
