i whould guss it the new billing thing
Well, I know of one that is going to fall sometime in the future because the player that owns it dropped off most of his possessions at my house last night and indicated he most likely won't be back anytime soon. (Yes, I think the soulstone(s) made it to the bank.) Pretty sad about it because he's someone I guilded into NEW in May along with his brothers and they kept me busy making suits and weapons and he always had time to sit and chat for a bit.
The most weird thing was.. it was an legit email, first I thought it was fraud, but every single tell there is normaly with a fake email wasnt... was much surprised.

It likely is a legit email. Any that have not updated info on the new account system will get one (or more) soon enough. As to why the changes... I am beginning to believe these changes have been mandated by a new California tax law.

My guess on the falling houses would be people doing the every 3 month renewal to just keep the house up, and since some of us haven't been able to pay for accounts since august 5 any of those who's payment was due this month their houses probably fell.
My houses are probably still standing, as they've only been inactive about 20 days now, but an odd thing to note is they didn't seem to stop decay or keep login for accounts that needed to be renewed during the gap between when they shut the old system down and brought the new system up, and my main 2 accounts happened to expire on that day so they've been down since the 5th :/

It was my understanding that all houses were supposed to be frozen until this whole billing mess has concluded, even if the account was inactive.
Well since I miss your *spits* and spitting all over the shard...and having read ye prior posts, I did go by ye brit house etc. and when I did so, was still ok, still atm.
Figured if ye junk falls to the ground yet, maybe I can helps ya get some of it back..provided that any of my own accts. chrs. will even be able to log in to UO after mid sept. ! My accts were billed in mid June for the one, mid july for the rest as I have always done the 3 mo. long cc chargings....sooooooooooooooo while 'atm' I can still log in, I have not even TRIED migration yet.

for the stuff that's fallen in the past few days (and i have heard reports from players that yes, idocs are still going on) it would have started to decay after the 5th, that leads me to believe it's only frozen on accounts that were active when the account center changed over.
I have not either and have no intention of doing it until things are ironed out or I am forced to.
Damn... I am glad I still lurk on Stratics! So, i have to create an account and assign a credit card to the account we still have open?

I have like 70+ parrots on one chr. PER shard, just holding my parrot birdies, just in case, I do not get migration to work for me WHEN I DO HAVE TO TRY IT ALL.
Silly I know, but if I loose everything, so be it and if it all goes idoc, or I never get back into UO to play it cuz Migration didn't work for me, at least [my ZOO is saved] in the UO ether, from now on, but to loose me parrots and fish and steeds or meowin cat statues, mooing cow statues or my house tele tiles, I would then not even wanna come back to play. Resources CAN be replaced, easily, although I deeded/banked some up anyhow, but some things can not be ever replaced.
I *also saved one item *made by orig. Ginsu, Aeric Horn*
& a few KSS player books and so forth.
Any thing else left in me house,
more easily replaceable for my chrs. would be up for grabs,
if migration don't work for me, when I need it to work for me.

I will no doubt HAVE to try migration when I get back from my trip, till then I refuse to fool with even tryin it...don't need the stress of UO, got enough of it/rl stress, just thinkin I have to FLY DELTA {non-rev}* dbl shudder* in 3 more days ! LOL
I did not get an email. I even checked my junk folder and nothing. It wasn't too bad to set up. I am billed through November, but I am glad I was able to do this now. Although, it just might have been a hidden blessing if the castle did fall.
