It seems the powers that be that made this migration mess....not only failed to recognize my wifes and I CC, that expires a couple years from now, BUT, having called CS, I get to my account management page, and my account is now linked to a name i used years ago under a temp. account. (think spring cleaning)

And it cannot be unlinked, joy!!!!!

Mr D at CS told me to create a temporary account with EA and all this other stuff if I want to play UO, until this coming Friday, when the maintenance should be fully done.

Until then our accounts are blocked.......I have yet to check my wifes.

I'm thinking of converting......from catholicism, to alcoholism.

One thing I like though, about the new system, from what I seem to understand it works, is the fact that all UO accounts related to a player are linked with each other.

This way, for example, it becomes more of a deterrant to use disposable accounts and play with not allowed third parties to script in relative safety since not only the scripting, disposable account would be in danger of being banned, but also all other accounts linked to it.

That's at least my perception of it.

its a total mess...and what of the olde player that wants to return????

u can forget it,,,olde players will never be able to reopen olde accounts unless they have got a degree in maths and about 4 hours spare to figure it out.

They announced that UO will be open for old veteran players in september for two weeks.

It just kills the urge to try out UO again as a veteran if you have to go through such a struggle...

So there's EA account login ID with pass...mythic master ID with a pass...and your UO id and pass...

damn even my WoW account merge with battle.net was A LOT easier then this...

Where did they announce this? I know some people that might come back if this is true.
