Devs, add an 8th Character Slot, please

Since the last publish, to get the best results, only 1 school of magic works best. To maximize the new game mechanics now I'd have to soulstone some hard-worked skills.
Here's a line-up ofpossible templates that would take more than 2 accounts to have them all...
Crafter 1 (Tailor/Metalworker)
Crafter 2 (Imbuer/Woodworker)
Fisher-Cook
Spellweaver
Mystic
Mage - Scribe
Mage - Nox/Alchemist
Tamer
Bard
Necromancer
Samurai
Ninja
Paladin
THunter
Rogue
Hybrid 1 (ex: Necromage)
Hybrid 2 (ex: Sampire)
There are probably more and certainly so when you consider hybrids. The above list is just off the top of my head.
I'll admit when I read the thread title my automatic reaction was "soulstones eliminate the need for this."
But after a minute or two, I got to thinking. Soulstones can be a real pain the the ass to mess around with. Personally, I'd love to have another character (or two or 3 even) on my account. I'd really like the ability to have all the character types I want on one single account, without having to mess around with soulstones every time I wanted to switch from my blacksmith to my imbuer.

with enough soulstones, i only use 3 of my character slots. 1 crafter, 1 caster, 1 melee. the other character slots i use for holding skills. i wouldn't benefit from another slot, but it would make me spend a lot less on soulstones.

The expanding templates dont have enough skill points to do all we need so another character is nessasarry.
To have my crafter do the whole list of crafting skills frankly 720 skill limit does not cut it.
Same for alot of other skills groupings. We as a whole want to work on much of UO activitys solo. To do so on many we need 2 chatacters due to the limitations of the skill tree.
With now that the Dev has made fishing 120, and the introduction of new skills with SA ether another character slot is needed or up the skill limit.
Ether way this is needed to be addressed. I'd vote to up the skill limit.
As for the slot issue... there is other uses for opening this up to alot more characters then new creations. Many players that have extreemly built characters to be moved off to a main shard only that the character play list is full with that shards number of built characters. Its as BahamaMama said, the list is quite extencive and 7 slots dont cut it. Perhaps make it so you can only add to the list by the Transfer movement from other shards past 7 in the list.

They should just sell a 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th character slot for $9.99 a slot. There's plenty of suckers, myself included, who'd pay for them. The current $19.99 price for the 7th slot is too much.
The extra character slots and soulstones was a case of shooting oneself in the foot. How much of the less players by less houses was due to shutting down accounts no longer needed. Right account with tailor smiths holding skills and 20 soulstones would have one character that could be the flavor of the day.
As far as the crafter mule they should of had if your GM in skill X Y you could train in Z with no skill loss. Example a GM Tink & Alky could Train Cooking to GM. Or Carpenter & Lumberjack could train Bowyer. A Smith Tailor Bowyer could train Arms Lore as a side skill. Any the mains of a group go below GM and the side skill is back to zero. For ego only true held skills would hold crafters name on anything made.

Just give out some free soulstones to reward those who were patient enough to wait out the account issues. kinda like the old AoS rewards they gave for people puttin up with the crashes. another slot would benefit a handful of people who are too lazy to use soulstones but why waste the time coding and selling just to help players be lazy?

Where have you been playing lately? You couldn't get any less "player interaction" then is currently the state of UO.
Anyone wanting to craft their own gear is gonna already have the crafters necessary to do so. The majority of new characters created on additional slots would likely be additional PvM and PvP characters. Those types of templates aren't going to decrease the already low player interaction in this game.
They could package deal it. Buy five slots and get extra house on the same account.
Yeah, even Great Lakes is feeling fairly dead recently.
I do wish something could be done about that. Consolidating shards won't work because omg people will lose their houses (running around Great Lakes though, there are way, way more houses than I see players. It'd be a problem, but arguably worth it). We won't get any new players because UO hasn't increased in population for quite some time.

And for the shoes off math. Have your 8th and more character slots at $1.50 more a month per slot. Don't pay, the extra characters deleted and their belongings and bank box items spawn in the Abyss "Lost And Found"

Since Bioware runs the show and the games listed below were made after UO....
For Daoc ......
You can create up to eight characters in each Realm, or up to ten if you have the Catacombs expansion
From Warhammer Online....
You can create up to ten characters in each Realm.
For SWTOR....
Not decided yet but estimates are six to eight character slots.
For UO.....
You can create up to seven character per shard.
I think 7 is fine for UO. I doubt Bioware would add imo unless they charge $29.99 plus tax

they add another content expansion ( not a mini booster) and they charge $39.99 plus tax for the content and an extra character slot combined.
