Lake Superior falls into the medium range as well. You can find 18x18 spots here and there, although now with the return to Britannia thing going on, I've seen some snapped up.
Chesapeake has room also for large homes. You can even get an 18 x18 in Zento but not right up against the town walls.
There are spots outside of Downtown Brit and across the water from Minoc bridge, there's plenty of room for max secureds as well, *tram side* too. Rest is somewhat crowded but people move around so much as it is, one is always able to get some very large home plots, even on the *tram side*
As for Felucca side, New Magincia is ALL GUARDZONED, even for felucca, and I sure can use some neighbors there.
Lots of empty spots, 3 that I know of, each max secureds, New Magincia plots are 15 x 15s, it is felucca, but its all guardzoney.
As for Siege plenty of room there too, depending where ya prefer to live cuz some areas are full up, but lots of max secureds spots heck even twr and 18 15 or 18 x 17 spots even north of downtown Brit on Siege.

Chessy's a great place, other shards even Atlantic it isn't really difficult to find a Max Secure custom spot if you don't mind Fel. I've X-fered toons back and forth there a few times and placed each time. Other shards like Sonoma and Baja are good choices if you're looking for bigger plots, as are Lake Austin, Legends, and Origin.Chesapeake has room also for large homes. There is a lot of space on Legends.
I remember the days when you didn't really 'live it up' until you bought a Villa or bigger.
Most shards have their off times.... but most shards are in the "medium low" catagory.
Went on pac it was bustling, and all west coast shards were humming along.
East is in same basket a bit mroe humming but well worth looking at.
Oceania is another hidden gem but I will admit the lag for most usa people is too much and at the low end of activity.
Origin will surprise you at times... it seems low but i can tell you have a em show up and the place is stuffed! many do not hang at the bank anymore, we work hehehe.
Siege P. Come play the most freindliest shard in uo. We have lots of land and our players are for the most part good people. Willing to help a new player to shard over come the general start up woes.
To sum it up..sugar go anywhere you like do test runs at different times and get to know players of the shards then choose. If I could get my baseball bat over Cals head to change the house limit back to 1 per shard we all would be set. *now where did i put that bat.....*

we moved off of atl it was to full. so we have picked legends and are loving it. 4 of us all together have went. LIFE guild woot
