Without over thinking the silly robes we all ware...

Couldnt we just douse them with an invis potion so when the are on, you dont see them.

Then we can look a little bit different.

Nothing fancy. Just douse with special made potion and while worn it is invisible to the world.

Once off it shows up. It would looke ethy on our paper doll but not visible to the realm.

Im sick of wearinig my robe for the benefits.

Forget random exploration. Im trying a new route.

First it is 'wear' not ware.

Second, why not have robes convertible to doublets that are worn UNDER armor. That would be an easier fix. Snip snip. Doublet.

Because are alchemists can already turn us and all we ware invisible.

Why make more coding? Besides, then people could where there doublet and robe. And the more we can convert items to items the more complicated.

'You soak your robe with an invisible potion. It will last until removed.'

Pretty simple.

Meh, I like the idea of it looks silly, but if you want the benefits you'll deal with it.

Not to derail........
How about the ability to imbue clothing in all slots.
Might make tailors a lil more important. Hued and imbued gm tailored items.
Flame away........

If they'd be willing to do this for robes, lets add in cloaks and helms/hats/glasses while we're at it! (might as well completely rip off WoW :p )

Yeah, right now only blacksmith armor is worth wearing, tailors are completely unimportant.../sarc

Correct. I always wear NPC bought plate mail armor. It is far superior to anything on the market.

You mean I waisted 120 skill points for tailoring, when did they make it to where smiths could make stuff with leather.

Not to rerail

But the invis potion is just a quick fix so you can show all your NPC armour glory.

Invis the robe... still get benefits. But show off what you have under it.

Please please have something under it.

This goes back to suggestions players have made for some time now regarding converting same-slot items so that characters can stop having to wear robes to avoid looking like clowns.

I think this would be a wonderful ability to add to runic tools to make them popular again.

I dont disagree. Just the labor and delay of programming might merit, dousing with invis potion for now.

This isn't urgent for game play. Just a thought.

I re-subbed this very day after a long time out from UO and i'm a little surprised that there has been no vanity paperdoll implemented like pretty much every other MMO has, let's face it alot of games stole idea's from UO, so why not steal some of theirs.

It's about time players once again can PvP or tackle the toughest mobs in game with nothing but bare chests to thump on! ;)

I agree. If the added a modern paperdoll that hand nothing to do with game play but you could 100% customize the look... more people would come.

Psychologically they would identify with vanity doll. OPEN ME and see how hot I am.

That kind of stuff.

I used to play pong. I just need a blip for a character.

A potion that would render clothes invisible! Sounds like a good idea to me. Just get me a batch before I head to the next Victoria's Secret event.

How about a potion that makes anyone who seriously cares about how their paperdoll looks invisible?

If that same potion also made people who put their paperdoll in their Sig invisible I would buy a keg!
