Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

High Council Candidates are hereby invited to partake in a debate on Saturday, July 16th at 8:30 PM PST / 11:30 PM EST and Sunday, July 17th at 3:00 PM PST / 6:00 PM EST. Each candidate is welcome to attend one or both of the debates at their convinience. The moderator will provide the candidates with the debate points.

It will be up to each candidate to decide on his or her strategy. Remember, the audience will be watching. Your presentation will be as important as your answer. Can you put your opponent in a corner without looking like a bully?

Citizens are encouraged to attend the debates. They are also welcome to suggest topics of discussing by commenting here.​

Due to the lack of respect shown to the island inhabitants and their long scheduled events - Magincia finalizes its independancy by my, Valek Typhoon's, immediate withdraw from this faux of a council. Recognized or not by the main continent of Britania, the island of Magincia has its own laws upheld by its council, that have met successfully these past months.

We will not hinder those marginally few residents that dwell on the island wishing to venture to and from Britannia soil, and we will continue our trade agreements as thusly contracted. Citizens of Britain are also welcome to visit the island as they wish as long as they adhere to the respect of our land and laws that are expected of our people on the main continent.

The laws of Britania do not hold sway over the island of Magincia, and the britanian guard will not be recognized here as an authoritive figure, those bareing the uniform of the guard will be stopped, questioned and if they refuse to adhere they will be escorted to the moongate.

If War is brought to our shores and our island falls again, we will once again rebuild and continue our independance. We put this island together as a people and we will continue to do so.


We are Magincia.

I am sorry. I completely did not see the scheduled event. Wish someone had told me when I emailed the times few days ago. I am not sure if I can change it now as it requires contacting all the other candidates. I will still try to propose an alternate time of Saturday 8:15 PM PST to the other candidates. If the other candidates respond back to me in next several hours, then I don't mind changing it to then.

Did Queen Dawn die Defending the Virtues, especially Humility, only so rebels could PRIDEFULLY walk across Her grave? I Say Nay!

Did we Defeat virtuebane, the antithesis of the Virtues merely in order that ungrateful trash could shake their fists in the wind? I Say Nay!

Was it not Britainnians that destroyed virtuebanes dream of terror it was building on Magincia? Did not Britainnians destroy and drive off all the blackrock golems?

Was it not Britainnians who cleared the land, healed the land, sold plots to these ingrates? Yes It Was! Britainnians who restored the Moongate? Yes It Was! Britainnians who improved Trade oppotunities? Yes It Was!

Doth the New Magincians have any true Grievances against the Crown, the Realm, or we Britainnians??? Nay, they have NONE!

PRIDE was their destruction! Have they Learned? It appears Not!

New Magincia is Home to Humility. One day its Shrine will adorn the Island! Even as the Virtues were again made whole, so was Britainnia made Whole!

Never again shall it be Divided!

Let each Candidate for Seat upon the Council Declare themselves and their Loyalties! Let Valek and all others disloyal and ungrateful stand aside or be swept aside!

Let all renounce rebellion! Embrace the Virtues! Unify the Realm! Dangers and Threats enough rise from without ... Let US Not Raise Them From Within!!!

Prosperity follows and Loves Peace!

Castle Fig abhores the use of violence to settle this dispute.

Lord British did NOT intend us to kill for our Virtues.

Where, then, would there be Justice, if we fell to that line of thinking.

Prehaps the Maginicians will accept a Cursory squad. One that would allow free access to the pilgrims that seek to find their path among the Virtues, and keep Britian informed of any incursions that might appear, in preperation for the future, which is, as always, uncertain.

Britian cannot allow Humility to fall to Pride, which is what allowed the mages to let the island be completely destroyed in the first place, and then allowed Virtuebane into our world...And Humility defated it!..(I have a humble pie on display in my keep to remind me that it was humility that won the day)..We cannot allow the Virtues to be seperated.

So now the island of New Maginica has become, once again, Pride..they think they are better than the kingdom that spawed them. They can establish smuggling rings within the kingdom and no one can stop them, without a thought towards the future of the world. Our World. Everyones world.

A no clearer example of Pride have I ever seen.

Virtuebane is only defeated...not destroyed...Britan cannot allow this to happen..I cannot beleive New Maginica does not see this...and yet their pridefull ways are allowing the same thing to happen once again..Their sucesion is proof if this.

For religious reasons more than anything, we cannot allow this to happen. Maginica must be made to understand this. The Virtures must stand, together!

Apparently the sin of pride-fullness has blinded you as well.. it was not just the Brittanian's accomplishments.. you had the assistance of the Tokunites as well as other non-Brits. To claim a sole victory over the forces of evil in this matter is purely self-serving.

However, the Empress of Zento will not authorize her subjects to intervene in this internal matter. No New Magincia resident has fear of violence from us.

As far as Magincia, Now some leaders in The Brit community want to crush the "isle of humility" in war? Seems rather ironic doesn't it?

To declare the obvious, that Britainnians led the restoration of Magincia, neither excludes nor ignores the aid of Others. If you felt slighted, twas of thine own imagination, and not my intent.

I was merely addressing the insurrection and its sole target being Britainnia.

As to Slug, ... Lord British did not fend off evil, or rebellion with cake or humble pie. Eight are the Virtues, each unique and important, each adding completion to the whole person who Embraces them.

Britainnian borders are what they are, and Must be enforced. Any who wish not Loyalty to Britainnia, let them MOVE elsewhere.

I do not wish for War! Few, if any, have known the Wars and bloodshed I have known. However, let no love of war be misapprehended as aversion to War when it is forced upon us.

The Virtues are Our Strength! All Eight of Them. Our Borders we defend, we secure, and we shall not abandon.

But let us hear from the Candidates, let us Hear from Captain Jenkins, let us Hear from the Dark and Powerful Mesanna if need be.

That was a lot of fun; I did not think beforehand the debates would be so intense, or so well organized.

As an outsider myself, I watch with amusement over the election process of a High Council. No matter who is elected, Cartel will not bow to their authority. With that said, however, we certainly do take an interest in analyzing a future potential threat.

I very much look forward to the 2nd round of debates. Props to all who came out tonight!

I can only trust that whomever is elected knows what to do about the Magincian problem. Be warned, though, that they are only requesting sovereignty in order to divert attention from their criminal underworld - a side that will simmer and expand once free from the watchful eye of the Council. Think about what you are enabling here.
