So I'm going off something I read this morning in my PM's... but how many ppl that read Stratics, would be interested in buying just the raised garden bed from the game codes site???

Purchasing JUST the raised garden, would you?

Personally, I think the raised beds are a great addition - strictly for the "aesthetics" of having a garden bed, and I'd love to see them as an "addition" that you could buy on UOGameCode for a buck or so. I've seen threads here with people complaining about the loss for those that sell petals, but I don't personally see a big problem there. I think that for most of us that "buy" petals from vendors, we will still do that (I know that I will) - simply because they don't want to take the time to get the seeds, plant them and then "pick" them by hand. I have better things to do.
Just my opinion....

The only way they would put it on there seperately is if there is enough interest from the players.. hence, the reason for the poll.
I know its not completely accurate because there are players who dont even read Stratics, but the more responses we could get, the better.

Clearly you don't fear plants enough. They are quite vicious in large numbers.

Personally, I think that the plant beds ruin the whole gardening system.
My feeling, is that part of gardening and growing plants means taking the time to take care for them.

Same here, if they were $1-$3 a pop sure.
I can see how but doubt that they would ruin gardening. The garden beds take up a lot of room so me thinks unless you lived in a castle you would run out of space before you could place enough beds to not have to manually care any plants at all any more. I imagine most growers grow in their pack and in their beetle's pack rather than lock down 100+ plants. Of course I could be wrong as I don't really know any growers so I'm guessing.
I have two large garden beds (two accts and yes I'm an idiot for wasting $$ on the second one) holding 9 plants each and they take up a very good sized chunk of lg tower roof top real estate.
It's a nice having them but they don't come remotely close to competing with a beetle's pack worth of plants.

Yes I would buy the bed alone for 1.99 to 2.99, now if they wanted to make a grouping I'd really go for it as then I could give one to each shard and not feel I have slighted any characters/ shard I play on.
Before the planter I grew and sold dyes, but now I'm not going to anymore because they are worthless to sell. I used to only grow maybe 20 a week, and I'm sure others did more. Maybe resources will still sell, but I'm not sure why the big spenders wouldn't just get one planter and be done with it. I know I have ;D and $10 wasn't breaking the bank for me .

Maybe... but they would have to be (fertile) dirt cheap. I'm not adverse to helping support the game with reasonable charges, but one main issue with the Bazaar, apart from it's disrespect to the lore and incredibly short sighted design, was that it was just ridiculously expensive. I couldn't financially justify it even if I wanted it.
You may argue it's only a small charge, but once more it shows the short sightedness of much of modern business; sure each individual game makes much more profit... but when they all start swapping to that model that's much, much more money out of the individuals pocket. The record industry is a classic example of this problem; they over charged for CDs for so long that when Peer 2 Peer networks hit, the natural greed of people embraced it at an incredible rate, partly because much of the guilt that might have kept it in check simply wasn't there any more; even amongst the artists themselves many felt they'd been shortchanged by the same industry; and have experimented with free releases and their own labels themselves (Radiohead, Trent Reznor to name just two), or even outright encouraged you to pirate their own material (Henry Rollins, NoMeansNo for the insanely hard to find singles).
The gaming industry is following that path too; whilst companies like Valve and Blizzard can release quality product and guarantee income from it, there's an increasing resentment of being nickle and dimed for product which often doesn't even work correctly. So whilst the individual might justify it for a game they love, being constantly asked to pay out more money has made many, including me, much more cautious; I won't pay a penny for Lord of The Rings Online, because it's just not any good, even if I had full functionality. And whilst I love Ultima Online, and I run 30 plants constantly, you're taking the mickey with the current pricing scheme too. Sorry, but that's the reality on the other side of the server.

I would purchase the raised bed from an NPC merchant for UO gold or take it as a first year vet reward I won't pay real money for this item.

I don't garden much, but I have to ask, were gardeners asking for these raised gardens so that it would be easier to garden?

I can see EA selling the raised beds as single tokens with the notation that the account needs to have the rustic theme pack in order to use the item. I haven't gotten around to updating any of my 6 accounts and not sure how many will get updated, but I would at least update one or two and buy couple extra beds for the two main shards I play if they did sell them by themselves. I'm not going to update 6 accounts just to have 6 raised beds.

No, but if they were cheap enough (like $1) I wouldn't mind paying someone else 250k gold or so per.

I dont think botanists asked for anything quite like this..... but ultimately, not everything we get in game is decided by the players, obviously, nor should it be that way.
My thought is that yes, I would buy them seperately... why... because I have over 400 plants growing at any given time in my chars packs... I dont want enough beds to care for all of them, but say they limited us to 5 beds per account ... well, then I would buy them for 2 accounts and that would help with almost 100 seeds ...
Price is another consideration... 5.99$ for one bed wouldnt be worth it either.
They should be priced 1.99-3.99 a piece at most, imho..

Quoted for truth. I like the idea of being able to buy Raised Planters seperately from the expansion pack. As long as they are usable without the expansion pack.

No, I saw nothing use/quality in the booster packs. I won't be purchasing anything from this booster sadly. First time I'm boycotting in my Uo career. 
Agreed... this is about the only thing from the "expansion" that drew my interest.
