Anyone know if PayByCash.com will be getting the Gothic/Rustic Theme Pack codes?

I have not tried it - but usually, you can order the codes through uogamecodes.com and use the paybycash option at the top of the "item index".

It doesn't work that way. You have to order stuff from them through their site. And their site hasn't been updated for anything UO since KR launched.

My mistake.. they put SA codes up on the site sometime. Make that "hasn't been updated for anything UO since SA launched". Never got any of the buyables, either. Pisses me off since its usually the only way I have to pay.

i wanna play with the new pet vendor thingies in magincia and i think the only way i can do it is through using that site to pay this goofy 10 dollars.

although I'm not even sure that site's payment methods will work for me, tbh. I'd have to try it once I saw the code was there to buy in the first place.

Crysta, I've never used that site, but I assume they will have to e-mail you the code to use to upgrade your account for whichever theme pack you purchase. Once you've done that, you then log in and use the Help / Promotional Code option while logged in to receive the actual Chest of Sending or to receive a deed for the Raised Gardening Bed.

I assume the site would have no way to actually use the codes in-game to claim those two items without actually first applying them to an account. But I suppose perhaps there is still a small chance the operators of the site could be stinkers and use the codes they sell you for upgrading your account on their own, already-upgraded accounts. I do not know if there is any mechanism in place to match up the code you type in-game with the one you used through the account maintenance site to upgrade your account. If there is no such mechanism, I still doubt the site operators would be stupid enough to sell you codes that would upgrade your account but wouldn't work for claiming those two items in-game. Best to read their promo information though (if and when they actually offer the codes) to confirm you will be able to claim the chest or the bed in-game.

You misunderstand.. I mean i'm still waiting for info on whether its coming to paybycash or not.. i'm very familiar with how the site works and it would be how i'd be able to get the codes. The fact that the purchase pages have a button for the site underneath the prices only for the 3 new packs (and stuff you can already get at PBC) seems to hint that they should have it, but the paybycash page hasn't been updated with any such offers yet and there's no official word.

I've heard through the rumor mill that paypal and the company that runs UO cannot get along (and at this rate, likely never will).

It is interesting to note that USA WOW network will take Paypal payments for the basic subscription fees, but that's the only thing it'll take Paypal for (no account upgrades etc).

Paypal can be very pro-consumer and will do the equivalent of a "chargeback" I think kinda easier than maybe some other companies. That could be part of what's going on and why the 2 companies don't play nice.

well paypal has the rule that you can't sell virtual things

and steam as option would be good, but not to force people use it... just because steam use all payments kind and could be the perfect workaround for EA

It's not that literal necessarily - - it's a fact that you can pay for a USA WOW subscription using Paypal.

One game version which is Steam and one which is not would exclude the non-steam-users from the additional payment options. It would be an incomplete solution because of that. In my case it would provide no additional payment options whatsoever (because I will not install Steam).
